Quant’è bella giovinezza,
che si fugge tuttavia!
Chi vuol esser lieto, sia:
del doman non v’è certezza.
(Lorenzo de’ Medici)
How beautiful is youth
that runs away anyway!
Who wants to be happy, either:
of tomorrow there is no certainty.

I'm gonna live forever.. :-))
You should see the photo before this one... Huge waves this day. You can't see the people at all. Totally covered.
Still a little rough around the edges—maybe pausing during its first flight—this Carolina wren, Thryothorus ludovicianus, pauses to survey the morning before continuing a frenetic tour of our patio. Happy Spring, Happy Easter, everybody!

I remade this photo from a few weeks ago. I love feeling myself get progressively better and faster at photoshop :)
This was taken at one of my favorite places, Andy Adams Pond.

I don't do much sports photography but here's an action shot I captured over the weekend as Hamden's U10 team (Under age 10) swept a four game tournament at the Colchester Receational Complex in Colchester, Connecticut. Shot with the Olympus E-M1, Mark II with the Olympus 75-300mm F4.8-6.7 zoom lens.
Back in the day when I grew up we didn't play soccer. I doubt that I was even aware that such a game existed and nobody sold soccer balls anyway. With the world a lot closer today the influence of this game has spread to children and young adults here in the USA. I love it!
I was wasting my life
Always thinking about myself
Someone on their deathbed said
There are other sorrows too
I also like the wider view. I tweaked the colours a bit in Color Efex Pro and made the bell a bit lighter. I think this is the final version
There is this difference between the grief of youth and that of old age: youth's burden is lightened by as much of it as another shares; old age may give and give, but the sorrow remains the same.
Two different crops of the same pic. But which is better? I might still tweak the colours a little..
