Taken during the second Maine Flickr Meet-Up on July 27. Had a great time, and it was nice to finally meet the people behind the cameras. Can't wait for the next one ;-)

It's just another image. I did for fun in class. This came out kind of cool and I was messing with the layers and opacity.
It was all about smart object tonight. I think I got lost after the third step, so I made this image.
There were these birds all along the shoreline...I love to watch these birds just wisk by so quickly.
Another image I did while the lecture was going on...We had to do layer groups...I guess this came out kind of cool.
This time class was about SHARPEN SHARPEN SHARPEN...did I mention sharpening...lol. Mine is about pixels pixels pixels. I was also trying to go for a Van Gogh style or look...hmmmm.
These were the projects we had to do for class. We had to make surreal montages. I did the best I could with a short amount of time. By the way my teacher thought I did a lot of drugs...lol.
Look Mom !!!! I can do photoshop !!! I did this in class in a about 15 minutes. We had to do a surreal image and cut and paste images in Photoshop...My class mates thought I was hilarious but my teacher thought I did too much drugs...lol.
I was bored with the teacher talking in class. He was going on and on about Bridge on CS3. I don't care about the different color shifts you can do on the HSL/Grayscale.
This is what happened, first I got a new lens a Sigma 18-125mm wide angle zoom. This is what I took for the first time with this lens. I went out to Cornado Beach with my friend. So what I got was these images from the beach, I wanted to try the Orton effect. This is my first try at it. I hope you enjoy them.
Another great class assignment, we had to take action series shots. It's not the greatest, but it will work for now.
Another image I did in class during our smart object lecture. I cropped the image and gave a nice sepia tone.
This was the second one I did. I think it came out ok, could of been better. But I look at it this was, it's a start.
Instead of using Multiply when making the Orton Effect, I used Difference. It made this solarized color effect. It looks really cool.
I took a picture of this Buddha statue. We went to this really huge Chinese resturant. When they serve lunch they push these cart to you full of food and ask if you want some. You pay for each entree they serve you. It's hot and fresh and they bring the buffet to you, also it was really cheap.
This was taken on my block, when we had those fire storms. I wanted to take pictures of the sky with my point & shoot.
The has set and the sky looks so different from all the smoke and particales in the air. I really hope this does happen again in 4 years.
I tried using a red filter in the black white layers in photoshop. I'm just messing around while the teacher is lecturing. Good thing I have my ipod.
Another boring lecture on how to do black and white conversions. I wish the teacher would stop going on and on about CS3. He keeps finding more things to do. I kind of want him to go over what we're going to for out assignment. Explain how to do those tools. I really don't care about how many new ways to make black and white conversions.
