YoungESA is a networking, development and experiential group that fosters contacts and building knowledge, especially among young professionals at ESA.
It was started in 2005 by a group of enthusiastic younger people at the Agency’s technical centre in the Netherlands, and has since expanded throughout ESA. Anyone, regardless of age, may join.
YoungESA organises activities for its members such as field trips, lectures and social events, and has become well known within the Agency for spreading passion for space exploration.
On 28 November, YoungESA visited ESA’s mission control centre in Darmstadt, Germany, for briefings from colleagues on operations, ground systems engineering, mission analysis, training, space debris, navigation and recent highlight missions such as Rosetta.

Transwestern's Houston Young Professionals group took a trip to the Pleasure Pier theme park in Galveston, Texas. Transwestern Young Professionals (TYP) is a way for young people in the firm to get to know other young professionals across service lines, network and develop their professional skills. There are several groups across the nation, all developed as a reflection of the original group in Houston. TYP hosts events ranging from happy hours to networking lunches and bowling tournaments to “field trips” just for fun.
A group of about 25 young professionals spent Friday afternoon having fun in the sun, riding thrill rides and enjoying fresh seafood. TYP is just one more reason Transwestern is a great place to work.
ArtPoint partnered with BRAVO! (SF Opera), Encore! (SF Ballet), and Symphonix (SF Symphony) on Summer of the Arts, a cocktail party with a purpose. This event provides an opportunity for guests to learn about the upcoming programming for each group while sipping champagne, sampling hors d’oeuvres, and mingling with other young patrons of the Arts.
