Oh, oh, oh
For the longest time
Oh, oh, oh
For the longest time
If you said goodbye to me tonight
There would still be music left to write
What else could I do
I'm so inspired by you
That hasn't happened for the longest time
Once I thought my innocence was gone
Now I know that happiness goes on
That's where you found me
When you put your arms around me
I haven't been there for the longest time
Oh, oh, oh
For the longest time
Oh, oh, oh
For the longest
I'm that voice you're hearing in the hall
And the greatest miracle of all
Is how I need you
And how you needed me too
That hasn't happened for the longest time
Maybe this won't last very long
But you feel so right
And I could be wrong
Maybe I've been hoping too hard
But I've gone this far
And it's more than I hoped for
Who knows how much further we'll go on
Maybe I'll be sorry when you're gone
I'll take my chances
I forgot how nice romance is
I haven't been there for the longest time
I had second thoughts at the start
I said to myself
Hold on to your heart
Now I know the woman that you are
You're wonderful so far
And it's more than I hoped for
I don't care what consequence it brings
I have been a fool for lesser things
I want you so bad
I think you ought to know that
I intend to hold you for the longest time
“I carried winter inside my chest for so long, until loving you thawed my snowy heart and reminded me how warmth feels.”
Today I have a truly magical story, straight from real life, for you.
Little Leonie, my godchild, has a new classmate. All the girls at school are thrilled. He's really good-looking, but very shy. Leonie came home with a daisy in her hand. Oooh, Leonie's mom and I had the same thought. (He loves me, he loves me not.) We all know what that can trigger. Before Leonie could even start plucking, I appealed to her love of nature and her tender heart.
I told her that after she had plucked the daisy from the meadow, it wouldn't be nice to now also rip out its wonderful, delicate wings with the pink edges! Leonie blushed immediately.
(Me and Mom, exhale) I told her to just ask the boy directly if he'd go to the outdoor pool with her and then show him our beautiful old town. Then she could show him the best iced coffee shop. You're not usually a coward, I told her.
Well, that was at the beginning of the week, and now the two of them are with us at the outdoor pool. Leonie asked me to lend her my new white summer shawl, it would definitely look good. All my boxes ticking ;-)!
Leonie put the daisy in a vase and refilled it with fresh water every day. What will become of the two classmates now... we'll see. As a keepsake, I took a macro of Daisie today. Just like in a fairy tale, Daisie is still beautiful.
And if Leonie's much too big shawl doesn't blow in front of her face, then it won't be a blind date either ;-)))
I hope I didn't bore you!
Have a lovely, romantic weekend, everyone!

I saw him walking up towards the bus station with flowers in hand a few minutes earlier. There are still some young guys getting it right. Hope for humanity remains.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend of photography my Flickr friends.
Take care and take photos.

This look out is a bit odd, pleasant but odd. Cool to see the city, but it is not quite high enough to see the city. Another 10 meters and it would be awesome. Still, once in a while I like to come here and catch a glimpse. Worth coming to if ever in Poznan.

Bookended by extremely wet and windy weather, Saturday here in Scotland is looking mostly dry with some sunny intervals. I'm hoping to go out with my camera on Saturday though I haven't quite decided where I will go. Wish me people!
I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend of photography my Flickr friends. Stay safe and keep the shutters clicking.

Grinning, Everett listens to Zaira go over the specs of the garden like the expert she is. Something about her passion amplifies his smile even more, so when she moves to pat his arm, he attempts to grab it. "You know I don't work for free," he returns swiftly. "Not in this economy. I'll be your beast of burden, but it's gonna cost you." He wiggles brows. "On completion of course, I'm not greedy," the boy adds.
Zaira pouted a bit, not that he could see it but she did. Holding his hand she blinked and pouted "Can't it just be a graduation present? I only have so many chocolate wands left!" she whined clearly not getting any hints. "Or! We can sneak some ingredients and I'll make you a lovely dinner? I think I can talk the elves into letting me use the kitchen, or we can use the homemaking magic room, that's always empty." her head was going a mile a minute trying to find ways to pay Everett for his help.
Everett snorts, then snickers, as the girl scrambles to come up with some form of payment. "How do you even function," he teases, turning towards her. "That's in, payment in full, /up front/." The boy reaches a hand up to guess at Zaira's cheek and catches her temple --close enough-- grasping with both hands and angling her gaze upwards. Grinning, the boy tilts down and attempts to capture her in a kiss, his heart pounding in his ears; it had been far too long since he'd attempted it, and was bursting at the seams to get some already!

on a cold bench in retiro park, they folded into each other like gravity’s pull. the world around them blurred and faded, leaving only the texture of denim, leather, and quiet affection. her head rested gently against his, his gaze fixed somewhere distant, as if holding a thought too fragile to share. their sneakers, tangled and rooted, told the story of youth, of stillness within motion. it was a moment both fleeting and eternal, wrapped in the silence of the park.
...You treat me like I'm a princess
I'm not used to liking that
You ask how my day was
You've already won me over in spite of me
Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault

This is my favorite quote from a book I read this year by David Yoon entitled Frankly in Love about young forbidden love first between a Korean American boy and a white girl at his school and then oddly between two Korean Americans..it's about friction within the culture...it's about a stubborness that refuses to take a break and it's about terminal illness too...and friendship...and sexual orientation as well just a bit.
It's complicated.

Went out looking for signs of spring. I didn't find any blossoms or flower buds but i saw young love blooming on this bench. These youngsters looked so happy and relaxed together, they somehow stole my heart ... and i stole their portrait.

Two lovers embrace down by the water in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. My first visit to the City of Lakes in Rajasthan, and currently loving it. I think I prefer the Black and white cropped edit.
I shot this yesterday after work. We had a nice storm pass through southern California and I had been watching the clouds all day. I left work early and saw that the western sky was clear so a good sunset was going to happen. Anyway I ended up back at my "Valley View" in Moreno Valley for this killer sky. I got several good shots so I'll probably post a couple more.

I took this of the lady friend and myself about a month ago, but never uploaded it to here. We've been together for over 3 years! :) She's my little artist and I'm her burly photographer lumberjack man. Hahaha. Anyways... The weather in PA has been shitty and it's finals week here at IUP, so of course I'm looking for reasons to do anything other than study. Check out Haley's Pencil Portraits HERE:
