What is a soul mate? For me it's a person who connects your heart and soul. Who also makes you laugh and smile at the same time. You could never ever felt so alive and would do anything for to see that person laugh or smile or even both. But I'm very lucky to find my soul mate who makes me laugh and smile like no other person in the world! who's always been there since day one! I really liked this and Im quite annoyed at myself for doing it in such low light. I went out in the hopes to do something with that magical “golden hour” everyone talks about but I left it too late and pretty much missed it. I had no ideas anyway I just grabbed my red sheet and got in the car. There was still enough light to take photos though but I couldn’t find anywhere I liked. Heading back to the car I found this tree and just figured I’d throw the sheet over it and hang. I started trying to get as horizontal as I could and different poses and what not. It was pretty fun, reminded me of when I was a kid and we used to swing/ summersault over railings. Worse part of this shoot was the fact I forgot my remote. So after every shot Id have to run back to the camera press the button and run back to the tree. I could never shoot portraits without my remote now. Anyway I quite like this, Id love it if I did this when there was more light.
My arms and stomach muscles are pretty achy after this

Looking back at winter and looking forward to the next one... I dug up some photos from past winter. This is mostly a fun! shot. Not a lot in it, but still a lot in it. Youknow... A dog, a cottage, a man and some lake scenics with snow.

Is This Photography? (blog)
This is something a little different from my norm. I want to try experimenting more and getting some more wildlife shots. I'm fortunate enough to live in a lovely place and I need to make more use of it.
I had to clear my head the other day, so I went for a long walk and grabbed some lovely shots. Hopefully this will be a more frequent occurence.
Oh, and incase you hadn't noticed, I've been through and cleared out my photostream. I've probably deleted about 40 photos. I just wasn't proud of them anymore...

This picture may seem strange, but for some reason I have come to like it. First clicks at f/1.2 in sunlight sure gave some burned highlights... Still, it's what I don't see, that somehow mesmerizes me the most, what is left to my imagination.
Seeing, visioning, looking and watching. I become very frustrated at times when people somehow fail to see anything that's beyond their own lifes, their own beliefs and dogmas. So many people walk through life blindfolded, foolishly ignoring everything else than what they consider familiar.
I myself always strive to be open to new things, to listen and most importantly, to understand. It's not about accepting and jumping on another wagon, it's about understanding someone else, where they come from, why they think the way they do. To be able to discuss topics, without shutting out everything else than own opinions, refusing to listen and, yes, understand. I'm so frustrated by that, the unability to step outside ones own comfort zone and try to look at things from different point of views.
Well. Had to get that out of my system. (And no, that wasn't about this picture in any way, :) )
Okey folks, want to know what I've been doing today? I know you all are dying to get all the dirty details, aren't you? You scumbags.
Anyway. I worked all night, slept all day and then went to ballet class. Oh my. I've had a month long pause now, and boy... does the body degrade fast! I felt like an 80-year old giraff on crack doing pliés and extending my limbs. "Crunch", "bam" and "wowsa" was the vocabulary my joints chose to use, while my hips spend the 1.5 hours screaming hosianna's. Man, I'll never be the principal dancer in Swan Lake....
Hey, I heard you! Stop whispering and sniggering! People can have dreams, right, even if it seems desillusionized to you..... Mom, they're not being nice to me! Moooooom!
And hey, look, someone in an American tv-series talking Finnish! Wow, news of the day over here.... Seriously.

I have been a good girl tonight, baked three cakes and cleaned up the kitchen. Yey. It's just that I have so much left to do, and so little time. Now I'll start wrapping the gifts. It'll probably be dawn before I'm finished, but hey, I have only myself to blame. Why do I always postpone things...?
Oh well. I'll make som mulled wine and sip away while choosing the colours of the paper and the ribbons.
So... I don't have anything fancy to say today, I'm a very tired toss head, hearing the call of the siren, a.k.a. my bed.
