corrugations a good for using paper which you otherwise might just throw away. this time it's a 5cm x 20cm strip that was left over. I treated it to yoshimura decorations and kept on repeating their stairs/tiers towards the sides.

I believe I was inspired to try this by this picture of rui... oh yeah, sure I was... : )

the paper I used is rather soft (60g) and thus the corrugation bends easily in several different ways which makes it a great toy ; )

Mr. Yoshimura, the father of one of the athletes -- he later ran to the finish with his son. I tried to get a shot of them running together, but my volunteer duties got in the way.

If you want jargon, this is an isolated column of a distorted yoshimura pattern. But that's a bit of a mouthful, and not really necessary. You could say Fuse Spiral, and more people would understand you :-P Still not really necessary.

It's been done before, and I'm doing it again, as an example.
