There are quite a few pine cones lying on the hiking trail in Yosemite Valley. As I walk, more fall from high branches every once in a while. I think they too are one of the symbols of the park.

A view from across the meadow toward the North rim of the Valley. Can you see the deer in the meadow? See the note. She's easier to see viewed large.
Upon arrival we were covered in Orange Light with the surrounding Granite, Trees, everything a GLOW.

Beautiful Tenaya lake on the outskirts of Yosemite Valley. The water was very hit and miss but using a long exposure I was able to get the water nice and creamy.

The Cathedral Rocks are reflected in an ephemeral spring pond in the Cathedral Meadow.
This large puddle is called Wosky Pond, named after a long ago park ranger who managed to get his pickup truck stuck here. I guess you can’t always choose how you’ll be remembered.

The sunrise was disappointing, but just as a consensus was developing to leave, the clouds and the sun shifted position and sunbeams came pouring down everywhere. We stayed.

Glacier Point with elevation of 7214 feet famed overlook known for sweeping, top-down views of Half Dome, Yosemite Valley & Yosemite Falls. It's 28 miles from the valley and takes around 45 minute drive to get there.
