The thing to remember if you ever get waylaid by a kappa is their fondness for cucumbers. Simply offer the accosting kappa a cucumber and you'll be on your way without further difficulty.

🎾 Rino & Yokai: Chapter 27 – The Tournament of the Improbable 🎾
We arrived with rackets, a bottle of water, and a great deal of faith in nothing.
Rino attempted a drop shot that landed in a different department.
Yokai played an entire set believing the net was a psychological wall.
The pigeon coach gave up halfway through.
Final score: love – dignity – gravity
But at least the photo is blurry, so no one will know we played with a beach ball. 🌴

Toda Seigen (富田 勢源, 1519?- ca. 1590s?) a renowned swordsman during the Sengoku Period in 16th century Japan.
Seigen was reputed as a master of the Chūjō-ryū style of sword fighting, excelling in the kodachi art.
It is thought that Toda Seigen was the teacher of the famous swordsman Sasaki Kojirō.
Sometime after training Kojiro, Seigen became blind, but it has been theorised he knew he was losing his sight ...

Yokai (妖怪) are a class of supernatural monsters, spirits, and demons in Japanese folklore. The term encompasses a wide range of beings, from mischievous spirits and animal-human hybrids to vengeful ghosts and fearsome demons.
In Japanese, "Sōhei" (僧兵) translates to "warrior monks" or "monk soldiers". They were a class of Buddhist warrior monks who existed in Japan from the 10th to the 17th centuries.
