In our tradition, the woman is the crown of the man's head.
The reign of the one whose crown falls to the ground is destroyed.
Woman is life
She is a mother, a wife, a sister, a friend, a lover.
Woman is love.. She is everything..
Salute to all women who resist poverty, war and discrimination!

Bizim geleneğimizde kadın, erkeğin başının tacıdır..
Tacı yere düşenin saltanı yıkılır..
Kadın hayattır..
O; annedir, eştir, kardeştir, arkadaştır, sevgilidir..
Kadın aşktır.. O herşeydir..
Yoksulluğa, savaşa ve ayrımcılığa karşı direnen bütün kadınlara selam olsun!
Adnan Güler..
Ne yere, ne göğe ismini yazdım.
Senin ismini aşkım,
Kalbime yazdım...
I wrote your name neither on the ground nor on the skies.
I wrote your name, my love
On my heart...

Yering Station vineyard with a couple of native animals taking advantage of the green grass in a freshly mown paddock beside the vines and pasture. Foothills of the Great Dividing range peek over the short horizon.
Spadonis Reserve at the end of Victoria Road in Yering is a lovely small reserve next to the Yarra. Its prime feature is a billabong which is fed when the Yarra is running high.
It was a very foggy morning so landscapes were not an option. I thought I'd try something a little different. This is part of the gardens at Yering Station Winery in the Yarra Valley, north east of Melbourne, near Yarra Glen.
Regional railways in Victoria are fading away. This section of line was decommissioned in 1980 after 92 years. The section between Lilydale and Yering Station is now a bike path which is to extend to Yarra Glen one day. These two photos are toward the Healesville end near Tunnel Hill.
Flowers (Plumbago I think) compete for attention a garden at Yering Station vineyard in the Yarra Valley.
An avenue of elms at Yering Station, Yarra Glen, Victoria.
Apparently there are 330 trees (or were, orginally) and the avenue is half a mile long.
Unfortunately there is no public access and so I took these photos over the fence.
Spadonis Reserve is next to the Yarra River near Yering. It is a small park with a nice river walk. Prominent in the area is a billabong which after rain and water inflow in a wonderland for frogs.
Zosterops lateralis
A very common and beautiful little Australian bird, although 'grape growers' are not very fond of them as they enjoy a feast of the juice and fruit from the grape which they obtain by piercing the skin, causing a large amount of damage to vineyards.
This little circus performer was photographed at Spadonis Reserve, Yering in the Yarra Valley.
Yering Station vineyards were established in 1838 making them the first in Victoria. These are two photos taken on the property. The Avenue (my naming) is a plantation in four majestic rows.
Victoria’s first vineyard was planted at Yering Station in 1838. The Scottish-born Ryrie brothers ventured into the Yarra Valley as they moved their cattle south from Sydney. Taking up a grazing license of 43 000 acres, they named the property ‘Yering’, its Aboriginal name. The Ryrie’s planted two varieties, the Black Cluster of Hamburg and a white grape variety called Sweetwater. During the early 1850’s they returned to Sydney and Paul de Castella took ownership of Yering Station, developing the property from what remained primarily a cattle station into a landmark of winemaking in Victoria.
If I had had a wide angle lens and could do panoramas I may have been able to capture the new winery...:)

A couple of Grey Kangaroos, with their "stunned" facial expression, looking straight at the lens. Nice eye contacts.

2 cockatoos at Yering Gorge Cottages, Yarra Valleys, Victoria. They were wild, finally my wife could invite them to come to our cottage's terrace.

The sulphur-crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) is a relatively large white cockatoo found in wooded habitats in Australia, and New Guinea and some of the islands of Indonesia. They can be locally very numerous, leading to them sometimes being considered pests. A highly intelligent bird, they are well known in aviculture, although they can be demanding pets.

Yering Meadows Golf Club is about 25km from home. It was zero degrees Celsius and very foggy. Play was delayed for 30 minutes. The light was atmospheric, hence it was a great time to take a few panoramas.
