6 weeks after he was diagnosed, we were lucky to get to go to Bearskin Meadows Family Camp. They tossed us a lifeline of diabetes management. This picture is of Michael giving himself an injection for the first time. It was a HUGE hurdle. He is 5 in this photo taken 8.97
Vegas is not my idea of a good time, but we did stroll through the old Fremont part of town to kill some time. It was hella hot and touristy out there.
