I have decided to step up my game. I really enjoy taking photos, therefore, I am going to invest more time, effort and money into my hobby. I like to just have fun with the camera, however, I lately have been wanting to get more serious and take some real photos. I don't know "Jack" about photography besides what I think looks good. Needless to say, my photos are crap. I have a very old digital camera that was bought on sale to snap pics of my kids... nothing more. Every self portrait is me setting the timer (just seconds) and then running into where I think the shot might be. S. A. D.
So.... any suggestions on what kind of camera I should get... brand, model, etc.? Seriously, I am clueless, so anything would be beneficial. I would love to get one of those umbrella light thingies and a hand-switchamabob. Perhaps in a year from now, I'll actually have some good work displayed... and even know some of the real names for my equipment. Hey, anything's possible!
The best way to do that? It isn't occupying anything or smashing systems. It's to stop spending money you don't have. There is no conspiracy against us to make us poor. People just need to live within their means. If some bank dude told ME that yeah, I make $800 a week and I could TOTALLY afford a house, I'd just laugh and walk away. And I haven't gone to college, nor did I get good grades in school. But if you show me a price tag that says $256,000, and I look at my paycheck and it says $800, common sense just says, "Yeah, no."
The system isn't to blame... we are.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs is an American indie rock band that formed in New York City in 2000. Since their inception, the band has comprised vocalist and pianist Karen O, guitarist and keyboardist Nick Zinner and drummer Brian Chase, who are complemented in live performances by second guitarist David Pajo, who joined as a touring member in 2009 and replaced Imaad Wasif who had previously held this role. According to an interview that aired during the ABC network's Live from Central Park SummerStage series, the band's name was taken from modern New York City vernacular. The band has recorded three studio albums; the first, Fever to Tell, was released in 2003. The second, Show Your Bones, was released in 2006 and was named the second best album of the year by NME. Their third studio album, It's Blitz!, was released on March 31, 2009 in the USA and on April 6, 2009 in the rest of the world.

Got a few pictures of the 'Live Nude SModcast' from last night (sadly, no nudity included.) I've enjoyed listening to the podcast on and off for a couple years now, so seeing it live was cool.
Sadly, I did not get one of the flying 'Pink Limpy' dicks. I've probably had more than my share of pink limpies anyway. *laugh* It was still an enjoyable night
