Yaxi Du // Well, I barely took photos with my friends or the staff members in the Arboretum, so I chose this picture with a squirrel climbing down the tree. Squirrels are the very first friends I met when I first came to UCDavis, and they are so cute!
Yaxi Zeng, the last student called at Friday's Match Day ceremony at UTMB, picked up her envelope and a bundle of cash from Dr. Donald Prough, interim dean of the School of Medicine and Valerie Carmichael of the Office of Student Affairs and Admissions. Her residency in pediatrics will be at UT Health in Houston.
Meet Squiddly Yaxis the Amigurumi Jellyfish. You could consider him a Squiddly-gurumi or a Squiddly-fish, if you wanted to.
Squiddly is handmade (and named) by Ashley, a teenager and one of the daughters at FromShirlee.
Squiddly is approximately 11 inches tall when he stands on his tippie tentacles and 4 1/2 inches wide. He is very soft and squishy with safety eyes so he can be given to babies and small children which is good because Squiddly's tentacles are very entertaining to small children; and the teenager who made him.
Squiddly has been huggability tested.
Let Squiddly bring some love into someone's life. He will make a great Christmas, or just because, gift for that special child (or teenager, they like him very much) in your life.

Here's a shot of the RepRap Huxley Y-axis. Note my very creative use of washers, spacers and bearings near the motor. A better solution is to file down the washers so they fit in-line, but this has worked so far.
