The Wee Jasper Bridge over the Goodradigee River, near Yass, NSW. Because of the Covid 19, the local store is closed, the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary is closed and Careys Caves is closed. The scenic countryside and roads are open. 😊
Yass was first seen by Europeans in 1821 on an expedition led by Hamilton Hume, and by 1830 settlement had begun in this NSW township close to Canberra.
Hamilton Hume's grave is in this cemetery.
A cemetery can display so much economic and social history of the area.
A merchant store in Yass has a sign that describes it as "Purveyor of Worldly Goods". Many local and overseas goods on display but my favorites are the many pots of various designs and size.
Many large pots are from remote areas of India that do not have electricity and running water,

Between Goulburn and Yass on the Hume Highway. Late in the day on an overcast day. Editing brought the colours out.
This rail set train sat in the siding at Yass Junction under overcast skies. As a standard photograph it was nothing remarkable but I loved the bright colours of the locomotive. So I spent a little time trying to make things more attractive ( looks better viewed as large).
Been out a lot lately as the weather here has been good so will try to catch up soon. Thanks for your understanding.

I'd suggest around a 1959 model.

Photographed with a Koni-Omegaflex M with 135mm f3.5 Hexanon using Fuji Pro 160S, 220 format color negative film exp. July 2006. Shot hand held at f11.— Light metering through a Nikon D80.—Developed in Caffenol-C for 16mins @ 20ºC/68ºF.—Scanned with Epson Perfection V700, using Silverfast Negafix setting for Fuji Pro160S.—Postprocessing in Photoshop CS3 (straigthening and curves only)
The image is not a full 6x7 negative as it was at the start of the roll and the tape of the film overlapped. Judicious loading of the film magazines of the Koni-Omega allows to get one more shot on the roll. In this case I did not wind the a alignment of the film start far enough. You align further than the manual suggests, but then you only activate the film advance to the third green dot (rather then '1' ) for the first frame.

(1 of 2) Diesel Rail Tractor X203 - An unusual engine designed and built at the Railways Water Supply Workshops, Chullora between 1963/6666. The X200 class utilized surplus steam engine components including wheel sets from the giant 60 class Garrats. Intended primarily to be used as shunters in depots the main exception was X202 which from 1964 to 1972 was the Yass Tramways sole locomotive. X203 was purchased by the ARHS(ACT) and is on loan to the Yass Railway Museum.
(2 of 2) 1307 CC-79/Z13 Class Locomotive - Built in 1877 by Beyer Peacock (Builders number 1637) originally as a 4-4-0
configuration, this engine entered service with the NSWGR in September the same year as an Express Passenger Tender, road number 92. Remaining in this guise until 1894, when, due to a shortage of Suburban Tank Engines it was decided to trial a conversion of one of the C-79 class engines to a 4-4-2 side tank configuration. In 1999 it was decided to place 1307 at Yass for use as a static display. Total time in active service was a very impressive 94 years and 9 months with the engine having travelled 1,383,190 miles (2,213,107 kilometres).
