"Let's Burlesque!"
This was one of several events for which I got free tickets to take new photos for the foyer of the city theater. This task was assigned to us members of the local photography club, which I attended for a short time. Today I picked this slightly blurred monochrome photo from the whole series, somehow I like it.

I have a special relationship with light and its wonders. It has far greater meaning than just making visible the world it illuminates, depending on the angle of the light it can make things glow, put them in focus, cover them with golden shimmers, make them appear magical. It influences our mood, creates atmosphere and in a figurative sense the light stands for awareness.
For this photo and series I made, the light provided the idea - seeing the shadow of my hand on a blank canvas, I grabbed a glass heart and let the sun create a play of light (below a previously posted photo from the series).

Heron At The Pond
One of my four paintings, with which I am currently participating in the exhibition of our painting group. At first it was supposed to be just an abstract color mood (without the bird), but when it was done, our painting instructor allowed me to paint the heron as well. As a template, I used one of my photos:

A walk through the Ethnographic Museum Complex Etar, Bulgaria. You can see the Yantra River, which is still very small here, but together with the cool mountain air, it provides a refreshing atmosphere.

Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgarian: Велико Търново, romanized: Veliko Tărnovo, pronounced [vɛˈliko ˈtɤrnovo]; "Great Tarnovo") is a city in north central Bulgaria and the administrative centre of Veliko Tarnovo Province. It is the historical and cultural capital of Bulgaria.
Often referred as the "City of the Tsars", Veliko Tarnovo is located on the Yantra River and is famously known as the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, attracting many tourists with its unique architecture. The old part of the town is situated on three hills, Tsarevets, Trapezitsa, and Sveta Gora, rising amidst the meanders of the Yantra. On Tsarevets are the palaces of the Bulgarian emperors and the Patriarchate, the Patriarchal Cathedral, and also a number of administrative and residential edifices surrounded by thick walls.
Trapezitsa is known for its many churches and as the former main residence of the nobility. During the Middle Ages, the town was among the main European centres of culture and gave its name to the architecture of the Tarnovo Artistic School, painting of the Tarnovo Artistic School, and to literature. Veliko Tarnovo is an important administrative, economic, educational, and cultural centre of Northern Bulgaria.
..in Jaipur, about 300 years of age, biggest sundial (Sonnenuhr) worldwide, built to improve time management up to 2 seconds accuracy.
Once again 44 060 with a regional train captured by me with perfect lighting conditions, moments before sunset. However, the photo is almost 10 years old - from 3 September 2013. This time 44 060 was captured while leading regional train 40117 over Yantra river near the town of Byala in Northern Bulgaria.
BDZ 44 105 leads Yantra express train (IC 2641) between the stations of Kazichene and Iskar in Sofia. Last year the train route was extended and now it is reaching the town of Plovdiv. Previously it was traveling only between Gorna Oryahovitsa and Sofia.

I got six old OM zoom lenses and tried them out, quick and dirty. Some were declared as "macro" lenses. Well they are quite okay. And they were quite cheap.
