Abendstimmung am Hamburger Hafen

On one of my many walks through the mountains of Alicante Provence I saw these two beautiful trees, pictured against a blue and cloudy sky.

Turri Road - this gorgeous stretch between SLO and Los Osos (sort of), amazing for cycling or just driving through slowly. Always feel so peaceful here.

109 Years and Counting

Restoring a 1914 Corona 3 Folding Typewriter. These were commonly used by soldiers and journalists in World War 1 as they are quite small and the platen folds down so they can be carried in a soldiers backpack for writing reports from the front lines. The platen and feed rollers rubber were dried and cracked. They have now come back from New York where they were given new rubber. The typewriter is being reassembled after a thorough cleaning and lubrication, good for another 100 years.

I was exploring a very familiar wilderness area with my friend. We had frequented these roads and trails many times . On this occasion we decided to take a detour down a subtle and quite unremarkable trail. Much to our delight, the path led us to this stunning waterfall, a hidden unknown gem in the midst of the familiar. It served as a powerful reminder that even the most easily overlooked paths can reveal amazing photographic discoveries. This experience encourages us to embrace curiosity, venture off the beaten track, and find beauty in the seemingly ordinary. In the routine of our journeys, there are subtle trails leading to unexpected wonders, waiting to be captured through the lens. So, next time you're in an all too familiar location, consider exploring the less obvious paths – you might just stumble upon your own hidden waterfall or some other visual treasure, turning the mundane into the extraordinary.
