Merry Christmas everyone. Our day (like most people's) started early although not as early as it usually does. Normally I wake Meg up at 4am Christmas Day (I'm not very patient when Santa's been) but today I compromised to 4.45am. We had a great morning - Santa brought Meg a bunch of things included the complete Harry Potter DVD set and the Xbox Kinect. I was particularly happy with both of those decisions. Then Anna's parents and brother with his partner came to our place for lunch. Our tradition is everyone has to cook a course. I did nibbles (yep, I copped out), Anna did main and Meg made a pavlova with raspberry source and chocolate sauce and a lemon sorbet (see pic in comments). The pic of the day just had to be playing Xbox Kinnect - this is Meg with Kat, her uncle's partner.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas day. I'm a slacker Flickr buddy again today but will slowly catch up in the next few days.

The power adapter is a lot smaller than the white 360. My old 360 was 2nd Gen 60GB white.

The Xbox Kinect with pottery form and silhouetted user in front on the projection screen. This is the infra-red sensor that allows for gestures to be translated into the Klaynect drawing program.
A Processing-based piece of custom software by Kyuha Shim, Ben Peterson and Jason Huff detects the user's hand motions and translates them to a spiral drawing, approximating the action of making wheelthrown pottery.
