Die Schreibweise X-mas oder Xmas wird im Englischen häufig als Abkürzung für das Wort Christmas („Weihnachten“) verwendet.
Seit frühchristlicher Zeit diente der griechische Buchstabe Chi (Χ) als erster Buchstabe des Wortes ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ (Christos) als Abkürzung und Symbol für Jesus Christus. Zusammen mit dem zweiten Buchstaben Rho (Ρ) bildet sich übereinandergelegt daraus das Christusmonogramm (☧).
Das X für die Silbe Christ findet sich schon in den alten englischen Abkürzungen Xenoder, Xn, für christen (taufen), Xian für christian und Xianity für christianity. X’temmas (christmas) ist in der englischen Sprache seit 1551 belegt.
Auch im deutschsprachigen Kulturraum lassen sich Belege für die Verwendung der Abkürzung Xp (griechisch Χρ) für Christ finden, so in einer von Herrad von Landsberg, Äbtissin von Kloster Hohenburg auf dem Odilienberg im Elsass, auf Latein verfassten und reich bebilderten Enzyklopädie. Ihr um 1175 verfasster Hortus deliciarum ist die erste nachweislich von einer Frau verfasste Enzyklopädie des Mittelalters.
In einer der 344 Miniaturen des Buches, die die Äbtissin im Kreise der Nonnen des Klosters Hohenburg mit Namen und teils Herkunftsorten zeigt, wird eine der Nonnen – die vierte von links in der fünften (vorletzten) Zeile zwischen Hedewic und Agnes – als Xp͂ina, d. h. Christina, bezeichnet. Der Zirkumflex als Zusammenziehungszeichen über dem „p“ zeigt überdies deutlich an, dass es sich bei Xp͂ um eine Kontraktion von „Christ“ handelt.

And the scene story begins....
It was a picturesque winter evening at the Xavier Institute, snow gently falling outside, and the warm glow of Christmas lights twinkling inside. But in the dining room? Absolute chaos.
Jean Grey, a.k.a. Phoenix, stood at the center of the table, literally on fire. Her flames engulfed the candelabras, lighting them all at once while everyone shielded their eyes.
“Jean, maybe tone it down?” Cyclops yelled, squinting behind his visor.
“YOU WANTED AMBIANCE!” she replied, flames whooshing upward and singing the mistletoe.
Meanwhile, Wolverine was hunched over the dessert table, growling as he used his adamantium claws to slice the pumpkin pie.
“Who needs a knife when ya got the goods?” he muttered, flicking pie crumbs onto Cyclops, who dodged them like projectiles.
Storm hovered midair in the dining room, whipping up mashed potatoes with her wind powers. The whirlwind was so strong that bits of potato splattered on the walls, the ceiling, and poor Professor X’s bald head.
“Ororo,” he said, calmly wiping mashed spuds off his temple. “Could you stir with just a spoon next time?”
“No time for spoons, Charles!” she called back, summoning a small thunderclap for dramatic effect.
Suddenly, the front door slammed open, and in flew Rogue, her super-strength evident as she carried an absolutely gigantic turkey above her head.
“Ah got the bird, y’all!” she hollered, soaring over the table.
“Wait, don’t drop it!” Cyclops shouted.
“Who’s droppin’ it?!” Rogue retorted, but just as she swooped low, Cyclops took the opportunity to blast the turkey with his optic beam.
The turkey cooked instantly, sizzling and golden-brown as it landed perfectly on the centerpiece platter.
“Dinner’s served!” Cyclops said proudly.
The team cheered, except for Xavier, who muttered, “Does anyone here understand basic food safety?”
Just as they began to sit, the turkey gave an ominous creak—Rogue’s strength had squished it slightly, and it was leaking stuffing like a broken piñata.
“Oh, come on!” shouted Wolverine, clawing at a drumstick.
And yet, despite the mess—the flames, the mashed potato cyclone, and the very questionable turkey—it was an X-Men Christmas dinner for the ages.
“Next year,” muttered Professor X, sipping his wine, “we’re ordering pizza.”

Sometimes Santa finds an amazing Christmas present, and sometimes, just very rarely, an awesome present finds Santa.
From what I understand, Santa was all done with gathering suitable presents for the children of this house, but one boy was one present short. Searching for the perfect Lego present just came up blank, and shop after shop Santa's helpers searched before announcing that they needed to give up. Then almost as if the Force made its calling, this Star Wars model X-wing was found. Not just any X-wing, but this was Poe's X-wing ... yes this was the one.
So when Christmas came, this X-wing got to fly on many special missions. This is just a quick shot I captured while it was flying in the Outer Rim, yes the Milky Way is largely uncharted in Star Wars legend. It was a long time ago and it was in a Galaxy far far away afterall.
