During the time period of 711-1492 the Iberian Peninsula was occupied by Muslim rulers after the Umayyad Caliphate destroyed the Visigoth Kingdom. Only a few christian hold outs remained in the north and slowly took back occupied lands. Over time the power struggle of the Muslim Moors, Berbers and Arabs in the Iberian peninsula helped the Spanish take back more parts of the Iberian peninsula.
The final stage in the long struggle to take back the Iberian Peninsula was the Granada War. In 1469 The King of Aragon Ferdinand II and the Queen of Castile Isabella I married setting the foundation for modern Spain. In 1482 they sought to finally end the reconquista by taking over the last Muslim Kingdom of Granada. After 10 years of war the Reconquista was over. The Muslim king of Granada surrendered to Ferdinand and Isabella.
The final war of the Reconquista was a symbol of triumph for Christianity as they had lost Constantinople in 1453. People all over Spain celebrated this victory except for the Muslims who were to be expelled, beginning the Spanish Inquisition.
So since there's this new pre-1900 bandwagon going on. Might as well give it a shot :) .

Mark of Tortuga and his fearsome crew land on a tiny island in the Caribbean. Why you may ask? For there lies the treasure of Captain Greenbeard the Odorous. After some digging with their swords, for they forgot the shovels, the pirates unearthed the goodly hoard of gold!
Mark couldn't be happier at the luck he and his men were having. "Myarrharr! The Treasure is all ours! Now back to the nearest port to enjoy the loot of a lifetime!"
Little did Mark realize the crew had other plans...

Major Max Solarflare with his combat drone Buddy "Machete". Close combat is the only way to penetrate Buggoid shielding technology. Max and the Machete are more than willing to oblige. Since losing his hand in an encounter with one of the remaining Hive Tyrants, Max has become an expert in Blade melee and fights with the smoothness of a professional. As with most drones - Machete relies more on enthusiasm and boundless energy rather than technique. Anyone stupid enough to get to close to the drone gets an extra pummelling from his additional tenderisers.
The smaller drones in the Brute Force have the most dangerous jobs as they are the ones called upon to clear hive catacombs. Their larger battle brethren not ally engage in entry assaults and exfil missions.

Backgroundstory:
When Bob was a young boy, he lived in a small village in Tennessee. He went to YMCA and he loved to go in the forest, climbing trees, hiding behind bushes and just beeing in the nature. With 28 years, he bought a vacation house in the deep forests of Canada. But after one vacation, he didn't got home. He wanted to stay there for his whole life, living of hunting and fishing, just alone without any annoying people.
"That's the real freedom!"
In the first year, anything worked well... he had more than enough food, so he already had to put a part in the old tree trunk behind his house. But then the winter came again, but this time, it was much colder than the last one. He need the double time of wood to heat his Log Cabin.
And then, one day, he run out of food. He never estimated this. He planned everything. But this time, it didn't work. So he had to go out in the cold, for hunting. He wanted to be as fast as possible, he wouldn't survive long outside. So he opend the door and run. As fast as he could...
SNAP!
He stood in his own trap! He tried to free himself, but it was too strong...
... And then, Bob the cub, froze to death.

I want to apoligize that it's taken me so damn long to get around to posting these, I'm having alot of other life stuff going on right now. Regardless, these are the superhero figures that I was able to buy outright, or produce from pieces that I got at Brickfest. I have since gotten some more loot from a Lego Store, there's a funny story about the guy there, actually, but anyway, I'll be posting that loot, coupled with some of the old promises from my I am back post, so there's that to look forward to as well. Also, because of the fact that it's been such a long time, I have made updates to some of these guys, so those will be out soon too! :)

Chains to Champions:
I put these together back in October of last year. I wanted to keep it as an "All Clone Parts" build, so I went with a third party manufacturer -- Brick Warriors -- to get the parts I wanted to use as Systems.

Probably my new favorite item: the ranger helm (in dark brown) and xiphos sword.
I know someone else has their elite group of knights wearing the same thing, but I think it suits them a bit better.

My first official online order from BrickWarriors is pretty sweet. I wanted to get one after I purchased some from BF 2012, but I never got around to it... until a few days ago. I'm a big fan of their items and I hope they continue to expand.
