White-wInged dove visiting the container pond. Been busy with the new job and various things to do, haven’t gotten out too much with the camera, and the heat’s making it less enjoyable to be outdoors now (it’s hitting 100 now).

I put in an order for the Tmron 150-600 a couple months ago, it’s back-ordered, so I am in the wait period. Once I get that I’m sure I’ll get out a lot more even if it’s beastly hot.

My youngest really wanted to go back to see the wolves at the Oxnard Park Zoo in Baraboo. The day looked gloomy, and a little cold, but Dad was up for that as well. When we got there we all realized the wind made the cold much worse than we anticipated. Our walk was brief, and we returned to the car and drove to the Wisconsin Dells for lunch at the Moosejaw instead.

This past two trips with dad have shown the Alzheimers advancing with dad. His short term memory has gotten even worse, and signs of some long term memory issues have arisen as well. Luckily he is still moving about fairly well, and his mood is overall positive. The staff at the Pines say dad became more withdrawn when his friend Jackie passed. Perhaps, or perhaps it is the nature of the diseases progression...

A sad, faded Caribou waits, and waits, and waits.... She is seen at Cape May Airport (WWD). This aircraft was formerly T9-19 and 353-19 with the Spanish Air Force. This aircraft was originally delivered to the USAF as a C-7 (61-2400).
