Off to Salford for an afternoon's Art Education Course. Not drawn from a train for ages. It was fun..except when we went in a tunnel and with sunspex on, everything went black!!! Plus..at so many station stops, I'd just start to draw and a train would arrive and block it all..or we'd set off. Still, I enjoyed it. Lovely memory ..way better than the course I went to!!

This is a photo of a photo! I've always loved it so. Obviously a very talented gal from the past ... many entries in our Library of Congress (artist, songwriter, etc.). Clermont is only 25+ miles due west of Orlando. I love this. Merry CHRISTmas wishes from Central Florida!

December 18, 2019 Update: I had a good appointment with a Radiation Oncologist today.. Appears my bone mets are improving somewhat! Thank You, Jesus. So I guess the chemo and immunotherapy are working maybe! Anyway, I felt the first hope I've felt in almost 2 years ... so I'm very thankful.
My right eye (my camera viewing eye) blew out last week probably from chemo. Looks like it's Macular Degeneration. Aarrrgghhh ... going to a specialist CHRISTmas Eve. I still need your prayers if you're praying for me. And I thank you if you are!
Anyway, I love this antique postcard CHRISTmas card from 1917. It was in the 80s yesterday, but pretty cold today. That's Florida for you! God bless you all!
We stopped at one of our go-to Asian markets today. When I saw this sign in the window I couldn't resist the opportunity to gab a shot. I had a feeling the scene would be amenable to the Hipstamatic treatment...and I liked the way it turned out.
Incidentally, "Sukiyaki Meats" is the name if my new Japanapunk band. And yes, I just coined the phrase "Japanapunk."
Bit of a ying yang thing going on with this one. Starting with the simple 'S', join the top of one to the bottom of the S on the row below - it helps if the curves finish on the right angle (about 60 degrees?). Shading a bit tricky, but choose one to fill in and follow the space round.

I so rarely draw people these days.. used to, lots! But.. grandaughter Sophie,10 years, set up to practice violin, ready for a lesson later that day, in a space in the living room just by me..and I was captivated by her focussed stance, the sureness of her outstrteched arm ..her bare legs and feet and, icing on the cake.. the teeniest white broderie anglais skirt she was wearing.Just had to catch it... couldn't resist. Later that week we went to see her playing lead violin at a school concert....wonderful at such a tender age.. but I'd only managed about 4 lines and all the lights went out. I couldnt even see my book. Lovely memory though..just in the few brief marks...
I'm gonna put this out there again with a little more info. I didn't really get the response I wanted last time.

Here is the basic info of becoming a blogger for *Kukuvaya*
- I release about 1-3 homes each month. Soo not too time consuming.
- I would like for the houses to be decorated at least a little.
