what we cannot totally understand

[ can't control ] ..

I'm not much of a romantic but I do quite like 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austin. It's an engaging story, full of interesting characters and humour.

I took the photo in the evening, and used LED christmas tree lights to add extra warmth. The ball of raffia was a happy accident as I needed something to prop the heart up with. Hopefully I've captured a retro ambience which complements the story.

so in the state of new jersey, schools must do lessons on bullying and how it effects people.. so this is basically an example. the physically pain will go away, but no matter what you do to try to get the wrinkles away, they're still there. and that's how the comparison of the wrinkles and someones emotional scars are compared.

This is my everyday project for 2010. Taking one lyric from a song every day and creating art or taking a photo inspired from that lyric.

I'm inspired by beginnings.

A first page.

A new week. Month. Year.

A new goal.

A fresh possibility slowly coming into focus.

A start.

A do-over for no reason better than doing it over.

Grateful for beginnings. As many of them as it takes.

"It was convincing, the accent. She had perfected, from careful watching of friends and newscasters, the blurring of the t, the creamy roll of the r, the sentences starting with "so," and the sliding response of "oh really," but the accent creaked with consciousness, it was an act of will. It took an effort, the twisting of lip, the curling of tongue. If she were in a panic, or terrified, or jerked awake during a fire, she would not remember how to produce those American sounds." ― Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Americanah.
