July 19, 2023 Screen Actors Guild & American Federation of Television and Radio Artists along with Writers Guild of America union members march in front of Paramount Pictures front gate in Hollywood
We had heard there was going to be a march down Avenue Of The Stars by those poor downtrodden writers of television shows and movies, who, unless this strike was settled and quickly -- would have to resort to holding signs on freeway off-ramps in order to put food on the table.
Everyone was there: James Brooks, a pre-"Ted" Seth MacFarlane, a "Back to You" vintage Kelsey Grammar, the kids from HIMYM, and those glorious, yet unappreciated scribes; whose words come alive on the silver and LED screens in the mouths of talented actors.
This, my friends, is street photography at its most raw -- when the people take it to the streets in order fight the man who is keepin' them down.
Yes, Breaking News so breaking, it only took me 6 years, 3 months, and 5 days to post it. I guess it's really broken news.
Happens every day at this time. Shot from the Grove parking structure, which has one of the best views in L.A. if you park at the top. (That's usually where the spaces are anyway.)
We were honored to meet comic book legend Marv Wolfman at the Writer's Guild party. He said we looked like his Teen Titan's character Raven and gave us great writing tips! Best Party Ever!
