Why do tulips almost never look poorly? No one tries to administer Botox, at least not that I know.

Wrinkles in a passionfruit (Panama variety) for the Macro Mondays theme: "Crinkled, Wrinkled, Folded or Creased". Despite the wrinkles and spots on the outside of the fruit, the pulp was still edible and sweet.

When teaching young elementary aged children (and supplying them with small magnifying glasses), some of my students examined my hand. One little girl was closely studying my face and remarked, "You have wrinkles!" Smiling at the group of surprised faces, I remarked, "Yes, those are sminkles that I have from smiling!"

Discovering these pressed pansies that had been forgotten in a closet, I wanted to study their captured beauty. Seeing the image again, I was reminded that folds on our skin are no big deal. They are pretty on a pansy, too.

This is a special eating apple, in that it is organic and grown by me! It is past its best now but has retained its vibrant colour. Not for the compost heap yet. Photographed with the iPhone, then image cropped.

Another shot from my night still life session. Here you can see the wrinkles on the face of my great-grandmother's clock from 1915. In my earlier shot 'Reminisce', the candle light blew out the details. Also included is a 1930s encyclopedia from my Grandma's attic.

I was fascinated by the leaves of this rosa rugosa (which is from the latin for wrinkled). They look nothing like typical rose leaves. Found at the Savannah Botanical Gardens.

Tea rose of the Charles de Gaulle variety sometimes unravels like an unpressed shirt but is still among my favourites because of its prolific layers, delightful colour and distinctive scent.
