The grand stable and carriage block at Kingston Lacy, Dorset — the seat of the Bankes family. This Grade II listed building was designed by T. H. Wyatt and in completed 1880. It is built in red brick with stone dressings and slate roofs, with dormers and a bell-tower.
The inscription just above the keystone of the central archway bears the initials WRB (Walter Ralph Bankes) and the date 1880. On either side are little sunflower-head roundels, marking the building out as very much of the Arts and Crafts period. Arranged round a quadrangle, it stands to the west of the house's kitchen court, and is now used as a café.
Kingston Lacy is a magnificent country house donated to the National Trust in 1981 with vast lawns and gardens around it.

UR-WRB & WRE were the gems of Antalya in 2011! Both MDs had special liveries inspired by the Ukrainian Folklore, different on each side! Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch the port side of WRE...
WRB2183 and WRB2177 lead Watco's Rockhampton to Mackay Harbour empty cattle train, 6ZN7, north through the northern suburbs of Rockhampton.

For many years there were believed to be only two remaining species of elephant, the African and the Indian. However, recent DNA testing has split the African elephant species in two, African bush and African forest. The forest elephant is much smaller than the bush elephant. Both types of African elephants are larger than their Asian counterparts though, and they have much bigger ears.
Their gestation period is an incredible 22 months, the longest pregnancy of any land animal. Furthermore, giving birth isn't always a happy experience, as baby elephants can weigh as much as 120kg (265lb)!

The storm was ending and the sun was breaking through the clouds :) So pretty.
This has been such a great welcome home. I was so sad out in LA without any rain, but now it's making up for it because it has rained some 4 of the 7 days I've been here :D
I also got to see some gorgeous lightning while I was stuck in traffic :] I could watch this all day.

En route to Emerald, Dual WRB units 2177 and 2183 are seen leading the 6EC1 empty stock train north through Coles Creek.
