Summer snow shower on the Tongariro Crossing, the best day walk in New Zealand, even when it's cold!
I thought so long about posting this and decided to do so after going back over and over to it. It is not technically wonderful, but appeals to me and I hope to others. I walked out on a hot day from my a/c and my lens fogged over and this was the result.
I have been out and about a great deal lately. Seeing as I was ill for almost a month. (I rarely get sick) I always have a large archive of photos to fall back on. I have been deleting some of those also. Quite often there are way too many duplicates.
Happy Fence Friday
The warm light at the end of golden hour contrasts with the metal on the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Pavilion in Bayfront Park.

“Ahnung“ ("Hunch" is the title of this installation work by Antje Scholz as part of the German artist group “Endmoräne“. I took the photo at the group'ss exhibition “Verlandet" in the Lenné- Park of Castle Dahlwitz, Berlin-Hoppegarten in June 2013.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the anual exhibition could only take place virtually online this year.

Previously unpublished shot from March 2019. Only one question - does this belong in my album for reds or my album for pinks? Enjoy!
The fields were alive with blue hay bales! But I wouldn't have been surprised to hear Julie Andrews coming down from those hills and singing. This summer has been a good season for making hay.
This is simply a cropped image, so it is not strictly a panorama.

One of our four cats loves rolling in tissue paper. A big help when it comes to wrapping gifts. I always save a couple sheets for him.

"The exports of honey pomelos from China are all packaged with plastic nets and colored ribbons, which are only for decoration, so we advise our customers to stop using these decorative materials. On the other hand, the film on the surface of the fruit can effectively prevent rot and insect damage, so it must be kept. We are also discussing with our customers to see how to make packaging more environmentally friendly." (Flourish Fruits Co., Ltd)
Given that freezing rain had fallen overnight, it was surprisingly quiet when I first stepped outside. I found that slowly sliding my feet along the ground was the safest way to make my way towards my garden plants. The center of this flower sparkled in the early morning light of day, so I just had to capture the essence of this frozen beauty.
