La mante religieuse (Mantis religiosa) 😉.
Surnommée tigre de l'herbe, cheval du diable, ou Prie Dieu. Elle se nourrit d'insectes vivants qu'elle attrape avec ses pattes avant. La mante religieuse dévore parfois son mâle pendant ou après l'accouplement... et non ce n'est pas un mythe.

Auger Shell - quite old - collected from the beach a few years ago.
Marine Gastropod from the Terebridae family. Prefers warm waters , and not so many seen here where the water 6" under the surface is fairly cold, despite the Gulf Stream. I've seen them making up an entire beach where the tide goes out a long way (estuary) and comes back in over very warm sand. Over 300 species known worldwide.

Algo que me gusta mucho de la fotografía macro es que nos permite descubrir formas de vida que, al menos a mí, me cuesta imaginar que pueda existir.
