Today is the World Ocean Day. I took this image last summer at one of my favorite places in San Diego, Tide pools at the Cabrillo National Monument Park.
Also, I think the cliffs formation looks like a heart. ❤

The ocean just like the poles and the forest needs our help. I have a new found respect for any one who does this sort of photography, probably the hardest I have ever attempted. These are Permit fish I think..
Dawn at Durdle Door.
Captured Christmas Morning moments before sun-up the clouds painting red and the horizon graduated orange.
Leaving in the photographers choosing to shoot from a higher vantage point.
Sunrise at Southwold, A beautiful light show on this particular morning with this image captured moments before the sun rose lighting up the clouds. One of those mornings while driving to the location you can see the sky catching fire and you hope to get there before it disappears which as you can see managed a few images on this particular morning. Only one other person there at the time so peaceful and beautiful glowing morning.
Firecrest 10 stop nd filter to streak the sky.
the fireworks in English Bay, Vancouver
not a fan of the fireworks, but when my friend offered to watch from his boat...I grabbed the opportunity ;-))
Taken near Ka'ena Point on O'ahu. It is estimated there are only 1,600 of these endangered creatures existing in the wild.

This image was taken at about 27m (90ft) looking up at the reef. I generally do not like to go that deep (because it is darker, usually doesn't have anything that can't be seen at shallower depths, and, most importantly, it burns your air, shortening your dive time). But seeing a yellowfin grouper for the first time, and one that size, was worth it.
June 8 is World Ocean Day.

Technically, this design is a four-color non-directional for printing on inflatable stand-up paddle boards, and hoping to be selected by firstly, voters, and secondly, Red Paddle Co, the contest sponsor; but as there's no chance of it being chosen by either I can do as I darn well please, and I like it!
The link for voting will be www.spoonflower.com/contest_voters_temp/new?contest_id=601 - open for one week only. So far there are 779 entries - more than enough waterways for everyone...

Conditions were exceptional today on the house reef. Almost no current, crystal clear water and great weather.
What better way to celebrate World Ocean Day than going for a great dive and taking a picture that should motivate everyone to protect these beautiful reefs? The grouper and the surgeonfish decided to swim in the frame to celebrate with us 😎

Since this beautiful day the wintry weather has really set in with much needed rain, possible flooding coming today.
