If it's just us, in the dark, then that is enough.

Because you are my world. <3

wiperaminga hill, bush heritage australia’s boolcoomatta reserve, outback south australia

Is this the world we created, we made it on our own

Is this the world we devasted, right to the bone

If there's a God in the sky looking down

What can he think of what we've done

To the world that He created.

ENTRY for LUANES WORLD PHOTO CONTEST.

'Peace' said the dove, 'please heed my call

And follow wherever I fly,

Then the land shall be filled with the song of love

And no more shall have to die.'

'War! ' said the crow, 'don't listen to him

Let us feed on the dead on the ground,

For the song of love is a song unheard

Let us listen to the cries all around.'

'Fight! ' yelled the hawk with a deafening cry

'For they stole all our trees and our land,

And they ruined our world in which we live

With a cruel and uncaring hand.'

'No' said the thrush, 'for I long to hear

All the songs that we used to sing,

Before they were drowned by the battle's roar

Let us fly with the dove on the wing.'

'Yes' said the finch, 'I agree with you

Let the world hear our songs once more,

Let us sing now for peace just as loud as we can

In the hope we can end this war.'

So peace won the day and the birds did sing

Till the soldiers began to hear,

Then one by one they did lay down their arms

And the smoke then did slowly clear.

One World Trade Center, also known as One World Trade, One WTC, and formerly called the Freedom Tower during initial planning stages, is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. Designed by David Childs of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, One World Trade Center is the tallest building in the United States, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the seventh-tallest in the world. The supertall structure has the same name as the North Tower of the original World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The new skyscraper stands on the northwest corner of the 16-acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site, on the site of the original 6 World Trade Center. It is bounded by West Street to the west, Vesey Street to the north, Fulton Street to the south, and Washington Street to the east.

A beautiful day comes to an end and a quiet night is awaiting. The last light created a peaceful scenery and covered everything in soft purple and blue colors.

Queen Alexandra's Birdwing is classified as the world's largest butterfly. This butterfly eats the toxic pipevine plant which in turn makes the butterfly toxic to predators.

Long exposure from the coastline near Eiði on Eysturoy in the Faroe Islands. I enjoy taking long exposure photos and I love the mood they can create. Here, I especially liked the difference between the smooth sea and clouds against the rugged textures of the cliffs.

No. 22 World Book Day (March 3, 2016) (116 Pictures in 2016)

(Explored 3-3-16) (Dropped out of Explore morning of 3-4 back in later in the day and dropped out a second time!)

Just grabbed a quick handful of my favorite books (in no particular order) from my bookshelf for this theme.

I have been here 3 times and there has been a breeze enough to ripple the water, but I managed to get a calm spell for a few minutes.

I am squatting low and close to the water line here...next time I'll bring water boots.

World Giraffe Day was initiated to "celebrate the longest-necked animal on the longest day...". I am celebrating the summer solstice with a favorite Tanzania moment with these graceful, Masai giraffes. Due to habitat loss and poaching, their populations have been cut in half in recent decades. Find out more about from the Giraffe Conservation Foundation.

Er is altijd elke dag wel iets of iemand die laat zien dat die wereld van ons veel te mooi is om te verpesten....

Everyday there is always something or someone who shows us that the world is too amazing to ruin ....

Tangled and twisted. From a memorable morning in Dartmoor.
