It doesn't take much to keep me productive on the road. Laptop, AC power inverter, and Blackberry with a data plan and I am ready to go.
For comfort I have the Sirius and "mobile refreshment center" from any fast food restaurant.

Research. Portable workspace. Computer. Caffeine. I AM READY.
(Eralath at the NaNo site if anyone wants to be writing buddies)
Blogged @ archetype on Livejournal. And I guess you can't link any LJs on flickr.
6 years ago I uploaded this screengrab of my workspace setup.
6 years on here's my current setup. Not much has changed, although I now use SublimeText2 over TextMate/CSSEdit. The web preview is actually full screen behind the text editor, and I use Chrome Canary and it's web inspector tools for real-time manipulation of CSS and the DOM.
Here's a shot of my 'workspace' to take the lens apart for cleaning. Between one of my Godox LED lights and magnifying glasses, I should be able to do the work needed. At this point, I figure I have nothing to loose in trying since the camera is no better than a display piece as it is. Oh, the red towel is to help prevent small parts or springs from 'bouncing' and to help increase their visibility for me too.
10.07.2009 - the space above my desk.

one year ago, for bochallenge.
Played some sims 3 today before it got all crashy again. It has given me more and more trouble lately. I think I need more ram.
Anyway, my work space is pretty similar to how it was last year, but the prints from Jessi were added last spring.
I suppose the kitchen is considered the heart of the home. Maybe a Mommy's home office would be the brain?
*update* Our basement was flooded in March 2010 and this room is getting a makeover! Can't wait to post some new pics of it!
I only began implementing my GTD system a few months ago. I started by labeling everything with blue masking tape. I cordoned off this area to be my “paper workspace”... I'll give credit for the term to the proper gentleman when I remember who it was, or when I find his blog again ... I found his link on 43folders. It was a great idea to have a space where you can spread, stack, or spit on your paper materials for one single task or project. No mixing, mister.
My sewing desk is the only thing that I usually keep pretty clean. I love facing the window even if my back is to the door.
A part of my little workspace, I modify all kinds of mini RC cars; as Xmod, Mini-z and ofcourse the Race-tin cars :)
My developing workspace, which won't be finished until Xperience is behind us.
Afterwards, bookshelves will be filled, cords will disappear, and hopefully I'll relax a little. Even when we're not "doing" anything, I feel stressed out about it.
The photo shows what appears to be a temporary setup of computer workstations under a tent or covered outdoor area. Several people are seated in white folding chairs at tables with computer monitors and equipment. One person is wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat, while others appear to be focused on their screens. Someone in a white shirt is standing behind the seated individuals, possibly providing assistance or supervision. This looks like it could be a field operation station, perhaps for an event, emergency response, or outdoor technology gathering. The setup has multiple monitors and what appears to be technical equipment arranged on tables.
Our second bathroom and our private office are back in this hall. The private office is sometimes up for rent but has been rented out for most of our existence.
I've been transforming my office/craft room. These cabinets make a much better work surface than hunching over my desk -- and eventually they'll be painted a more cheerful color.
MacBook 5,1.

The Macbook was there just while I finalized some configuration and app install! But that's my BRAND SPANKING NEW MBP plus the 20'' Apple Cinema Display I inherited from Nate when he got his 23'' Apple Cinema Display HD ;)
... and yes: I *love* my chair! I don't think I'll ever be able to work with another chair! :)
