two sculptures in various stages of progress for The Black Front Gallery show in April

just some early sketches from a couple years ago, when I started working on my Far Away comic book.

This is the third in the series of this work in progress. I have all the color and texture put in now. Tomorrow I will outline stuff in black and it's done!

Several sheets of thick glass were stacked vertically whilst the support frames were painted. The scene drew me to it like a magnet to iron!

This instrument is light-sensitive - the wire Stefania is holding has a little sensor on the end so you can control its rattling and whirring by covering/uncovering the sensor. As it shakes itself, of course, the feather shakes too! The battery is attached to the top of a Matchbox car with a little blob of Blu-Tak so it can follow the can around while it "walks"!
