spoiler from my blog...

shh

The first coat is done, but at this point I decide to take down the redundant second curtain rail and then paint the bit of ceiling over the window seat the same colour as the walls.

on muslin, design is about 8 inches across. Redrawn on paper and then ironed onto fabric. This is a from a mini mini element on an image of a ceramic tile found on NYPL's website. LOVE that website!!!

The idea with the sealant is to deny crumbs and granules a place to hide. Yes, I'm actually going to use this as a Bento. Yes, use. I already ruined the "collectable value" of this piece by modding it.

work in progress, as always.

I promise, someday something will be complete.

I removed the supporting armature a bit prematurely on this construction and the result is a leaning mugphlute...Working with pulled and twisted clay can result in stresses that result in the clay attempting to shrink/warp back into its previous state (thus the term 'clay memory').

I may still be able to alter/trim the base in order to re-establish a better center of gravity. I'd sure hate to see this much work end up in the slop bucket (Akkk!).

Approximately 18" tall, Laguna 'B' mix greenware, just a little past leather hard.

what I'm currently working on

I spent some time Friday getting my new desk and workspace more functional and decorated. So far I really like it, which is good, I think I'll be spending a lot of time here for the school year.

Here is the winter set that I am giving to my mother-in-law. Right now I just have the scarf done.

I used Peruvian Wonders Fine Alpaca yarn on size 5 needles. I can't find a color indicator on the packaging. :( It is a vibrant spring green.

I used a single 1x1 rib for the edges. The interior is a twin rib.

Watch out for a matching hat & wrist warmers!

this used to be my home made pasta necklace:)

Work in progress of lighthouse made for Swap Shoppe

I'm running late!

This chevron centre piece will work into a cuff.

I was working on two different images today and did not intend to put libbyquilter's photo-transfer with blue (it was with the other image pile), but here it is. The blue fabric has bonsai images that mirror the photo-transfer. I am going to freehand machine quilt this heavily....trying to work the colors back and forth between the two images. The sunlight is gone for the day, so this photo is a little off.
