This is another development of the garden. The intention is to raise the height of the step to match the others and extend it into the garden. Hopefully I'll be able to mosaic it afterwards :-)
It's been dug out. Just needs some shuttering adding and then can start adding the concrete.

Baked Goods Swap (Swap Shoppe Yahoo Group) - I am part of an online swap group for miniature items. This month I participated in the baked goods swap. Here I'm making the dough for the cake (way too yellow right now!!!).
I don't like the black pieces around the outside. I'm going to have to do squares I think which is going to be a total pain to cut.
I think this was the last room that had the 70s wood paneling, now a light cream....work in progress

Edge Guitar Artist, March 2013
Kirsten's choker progressing - it's now wearable without being held on, and all it needs is a last coat of antiquing on the gold plated parts at the back and the cameo stuck on (atm the glue for the chain embellishment is drying). Oh, and I need to add just one more gold crimp cover at the back because I managed to twist one.. and file down the sharp bits of the central piece. Estimated time of being finished: Tomorrow!!
It isn't actually wonky like that, but Kirsten's neck is larger than mine and she also intends to wear it over rollneck jumpers.
The background to my General Election Piece.
A sheet of hand made paper has been stitched on to a rectangle of calico and then wet and rubbed back in places.
I have then added a stitched red graph on top.
Mixed media.
This is a work in progress. This is the first day's painting. I have no lines or plan you can see I just paint right on the white paper.
I am in the process of machining the base fabric to a Calico backing.
Done of this stitching will be overlaid at a later stage by applique but I wanted some texture and pattern underneath.
The symbols I have used represent policy changes and "U" turns .
This piece will be about the policies introduced during the premiership of Margaret Thatcher
