Medieval castle situated in the heart of Cannes Old Town, Le Suquet

The Castre Museum is located on the Suquet hill, dominating the city of Cannes. From the top of the medieval tower visitors can see the bay and the Lerins islands

Inside the castle and the nearby chapel is a brilliant collection of paintings, art and archaeological artefacts. The Castre Museum is home to a wide collection of antiquities, particularly from the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

The 11th-century Saint Anne Chapel houses a remarkable collection of musical instruments from Asia, Africa, America and Oceania. A few rooms dedicated to 19th-century Provencal paintings of Riviera landscapes open out onto the courtyard and a square tower displaying spectacular views.

The Promenade de la Croisette, or Boulevard de la Croisette, is a prominent road in Cannes, France. It stretches along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea and is about 2 km long. The Croisette is known for the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, where the Cannes Film Festival is held. Many expensive shops, restaurants, and hotels (such as the Carlton, Majestic, JW Marriott Cannes, and Martinez) line the road. It goes completely along the coastline of Cannes [Wikipedia.org]

Le Suquet is the old quarter of Cannes, probably best known to tourists as the climbing, winding cobbled lane lined with local restaurants, Rue St Antoine. Le Suquet contains a clock tower and church that sit high facing east overlooking the Bay of Cannes and Cannes itself. At the bottom of Le Suquet on Rue Dr. P. Gazagnaire is the Marché Forville, where the market is held in the mornings and early afternoon.

This area is the original fishermans' residential area of Cannes. The houses are all very old. The streets were laid out at least 400 years ago. It is a 5-minute walk from the beach and is full of restaurants around the Rue Saint Antoine and the Rue du Suquet. A lot of the area is pedestrianised and is a major tourist attraction for visitors to Cannes.

The rue du Suquet is the original main road into Cannes. It came in below the walls of the castle (for defence reasons). It is a pedestrian street again and has plenty of restaurants [Wikipedia.org]

Located in the heart of the glamorous city of Cannes —close to the Palais du Festival and famous Croisette walk— the Vieux Port de Cannes has been a long time favourite port of call for boats of all sizes. A wooden quay in front of the Capitainerie can accommodate yachts up to 40m there (50m upon request)

As I run documents through the scanner, I save them in a folder called, without irony, "No OCR." Once the OCR is complete, I move the document to one of these folders. There will probably be more folders in the future, as I encounter a need.

I've already filled up two and a half 13 gallon garbage cans for the recycling bin.

Beginning with digital photography techniques and workflow, Skrczypczak draws upon his own vast experience in wildlife photography to teach about the equipment, the pros and cons of camera types and lenses, and the specific requirements for this demanding task. Also covered are appropriate techniques for exposure and autofocus-the latter being one of the major challenges in wildlife photography. He discusses an "on the road" workflow, the logistics of transporting your gear, and image editing.

The book goes on to cover the practical aspects of wildlife photography, from shooting animal portraits to panning the camera in order to capture that speeding leopard. Example images are accompanied by a small set of pictograms showing which techniques are ideal for capturing the specific situation.

115 page hardcover book I made with Blurb, 8x10 portrait, with Premium Paper option. Also went with B3 Custom Workflow option.

The paper is a little matter that I would like, and the binding shows some white in the centre, but otherwise the Premium Paper is way nicer in thickness and opacity than the regular paper/regular workflow version I ordered a while back. A downside (I'm not sure if it's the paper itself or the workflow) is that the Dmax seems lower; although it doesn't show here, max black seems to be somewhere between Pantone Black 7U and 7C (since it's a silk finish paper).

The plus of the B3 is that the print quality seems better.

The line screen on the pages looks finer, and the colour consistency of the cover jacket is also much better (no weird gamut splotchiness funkiness happening).
