My work on the computer requires a lot of concentration and is quite draining, but from time to time Tidda appears next to my desk smiling a hopeful question at me: Are you done yet?
She helps me keep my sanity. Sometimes we will play for a couple of minutes before I go back to work. Sometimes it's time for a walk and lunch afterwards. Sometimes just a few quick words and caresses are exchanged. In this way she reminds me daily that I can simply walk away from the screen anytime, which humans, amazingly, need to be reminded of frequently.
After we cleaned out the barn for it's new residents, the next major task was to re-roof it and stop all the water leaks. but, before we could do the roof we had to do some major repair on the back side, (see the first comment). After a few weeks of work this is the finished barn. I will say this is the first and last metal roof I will do. I'm glad it's finished and it passed it's tropical storm testing with flying colors! Today I worked at home, Jada was laying next to me all day. Girly came over and lick Jada, but i didn't have my camera with me. When I rush to get it, Girly was gone. Moments later, she came back and trying to get Jada to pet her by rubbing herself against Jada's paw.

Another family member in URGENT crisis. Hard worker, kind, clean, honest. Great with kids & pets. She's been crying all day. Breaking my heart. I'm her Mom. She was worried about her brothers surgery & nobody knew until tonight.
Any ideas please comment or mail. She's embarrassed.

Although I'm pretty much retired (LMAO), I'm getting more work requests than when I was looking for work. It's hard to say no to flood victims...
At least now I'll be able to pay my taxes on Social Security... :(
btw... my impromptu shop here is my carport, that I've closed in with visqueen, to keep out the elements. I was lucky, yesterday, to have been missed by all the tornadoes that hit our area!
