You really have to know what you are doing to be able to run a tandem (two) scraper, I was on the packer!!
Close to work they are putting in an HOV access to a nearby freeway. Connecting the 101 & the 202.
They have been working on it for several months. I drive under this portion on my way home. Today sometime they installed this frame work getting ready to pour more concrete and eventually pavement for traffic. I was stopped under it for a few seconds. Just enough to snap one shot.
It's amazing to see the progress they make every day. Our tax dollars at work.
Gerard Richter's work is fascinating. From his 'Self- Portraits - Overpainted' which express such strong emotions and uses interiors of rooms to set an ambiance which is unmatched, and his abstract paintings such as 'Ohne Titel', which I produced a copy of which he explains to ' visualise a reality which we can either see nor describe but which we may nevertheless conclude to exist'. I produced this piece using impasto acrylic paint and a palette knife for the thick, shiny and textured effect.
Arriving to work (her bed occupies my desk chair nightly, or else she does and I have a cat hair throne to look forward to in the morning)

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.
