A one week's discussion on human rights, religion and politics, held in 2018 and printed on paper. Soaked in water in 2020, compacted and dried. Broken up in 2022 and looked inside with a camera. Fuji X-E3 plus Helios 44M-7 at approx F10.
Great Salt Lake, Utah, USA, as viewed from the Antelope Island causeway which connects the island to the mainland.
You frequently get these impressionistic vistas of sky and water merging into one another, which probably has something to do with the salinity and calmness of this half (north) of the lake, which gets restricted circulation.
Editing this I noticed a couple of groups of birds in the distance floating on the surface (approximately at the centerline between water and sky), and it made me think of a haiku, but I don't want to compose one at the moment so for now this will be a haiku without words.
Best when viewed large as the birds are VERY tiny elements (even viewed large you will need to use the zoom tool), and the low contrast pastel tones, while pretty much true to life, make this a very subtle image indeed.

through the play on words passes on a macho message. but we can also imagine that this "easy girl" speaks to other women. and also refers to the jazzland indicated by the sign at the bottom left.

And in the right order , words can create one of the world's most significant documents ( even if it is in Latin of some form ! ).

Of course all of you will know of and maybe recognise the Magna Carta of 1215 sealed by King John - however , the original document John reneged on and he had the Pope annul the charter he sealed with the Barons . After John died and a young King Henry III took the throne but was too young to rule at that time so William Marshal (a family ancestor of ours ) became Regent until his death in 1219 , and in this time he took the Magna Carta and reissued it in Henry III's name having made some alterations and it took it's place in history as the cornerstone of many of our laws and rights of the people .

It seems this is one of many moments where I don’t have the words to explain the meaning this image has for me personally and the thoughts, actions, pain, insight, experiences, doubts, victory, questions, growth, change (and much more) the creation of this photo holds for me. At the moment it seems to go beyond words for me.

Since 2014 in China, bookstores—both private and state-run—prominately display the leader’s official writings, now published in multiple volumes and translated into numerous languages.
In this photograph, between the leader's glorious works (the white-covered volumes on the left) and the red-bound books on the right documenting his glorious experiences and achievements, the guy on the floor is absorbed in a mobile game. What I couldn’t capture in this photo was another man dozing off behind me.

So my avi looking all cute with the wrong head for the shape but it’s ok. She’s cute.

So now that I’m wearing Avalon, completely by accident, and I’m blogging these gorgeous Glam Affair skins, it’s like the missing piece of the puzzle fell into place.

One of the few lights that still shines in Walpack Center, a town that nearly disappeared due to the defunct Tocks Island Dam Project. Walpack itself dates back to at least Oct. 26, 1731, and holds the distinction as the oldest municipality in the county, predating the state, and even the nation. The population is estimated to be 11. Walpack... a fascinating little place that time almost forgot... in a beautiful area of NJ that is so fun to get out and explore.
