Some woodtextures of a huge trunk laying down in a park with the late afternoon light.
There were rotten parts and also damaged parts by a fire. The trunk has been an object of nature for a few years now, but it was from a tree of more as 500 years old. Its width is about 1.80 meter or almost 6 feet. This was cut down before it really fell upon somebody.
Woody the Ghost is watching You
And there is nothing You can do
His creepy eyes keep focused on You
And You haven’t even got a clue
Why the hell he’s watching You
He takes you by the hand
And leads you through the Fantasy Land

>>> The face you see in the eyes is NOT an artefact, nor reflection caused by my camera or light – In fact,
it IS in THE EYE OF THE WOOD TEXTURE !
😄 Happy Sliders Sunday to Everyone 😄
Image of the texture in a piece of wood, tweaked the saturation to the max; mirrored and merged it with the original image.

Birds were blown away by the currents from the wind and waves; engaged in the roller coaster ride. Footprints were blown away by the blasts of wind and wave ; erasing another moment in time. I was blown away by the raw power of the wind and waves; bringing life on the wild side to the rugged scene. - Lynn Reket
This is another scene from our trip to PEI this fall. I blended the image with a wood grain image I had in my files to create this composite with lots of textures. I think the lines in the wood grain gives more of a feel of movement to the image. Happy Sliders Sunday!
Finding the perfect light and atmosphere in this cozy spot today. The long shadows and rich texture invite you to slow down, Trosa, Sweden
This place has such a welcoming old charm. I love how the warm wood and the yellow bar top work together.

Taken In Early Ocotber ...
it’s not the bike — it’s the idea of it. carved in shadow, stretched across wood, held still by sun. the spokes turn only in our minds, the rider long gone. what’s left is the memory of motion, drawn in light.
An area of raw wood on a live tree and the Ancient Limber Pine Grove on Sheep Mountain, near FairPlay, Colorado. Trees on this site, many over 1,000 years old, have been bent and twisted by winds and struck by lightning.
Moon Gazing Series. Having a bit of fun with some driftwood images I had taken on Higbee Beach, Cape May, New Jersey.
The conditions were poor when I took this shot on Grouse Mountain last year and I knew the image needed some help! I don't use textures very often but thought I would take a shot of this piece of wood and use it as the background.
