This Oxfordshire church dates from the 12th century and was restored mid-19th century.

Fittings include 'a richly-carved traceried C15 wood screen (repainted 1862), and a contemporary canopy fixed to the nave roof with a panelled cove and carved bosses, which may have original colouring' (Pevsener).

these images measure only an inch or two in size (5cm). How they escaped being destroyed in the 17th century I do not know! They are strange things to have in a place of worship - but that perhaps tells us a lot about the state of things before the Reformation came along.
