The Lazienki park in Warsaw, Poland is a sanctuary for peacocks strutting around the Palace and the Theatre.
Nights of wonder....
As her feet gently touch the soft tender gold sands she stands alone, isolated left with her book and paint brush as the gentle sky fades to nights shadows.. She looks deep with wonder gazing into the darkness of the deep velvet sky where each star echoes and recedes shimmers with infinite harmony our mysterious universe, our constellation dancing with the moon beams with its silky reflections on her delicate skin. As light in its delicate material cast shadows, light against the dark, dark against the light transcends in harmony with her inner music where freedom resides....
l am thinking about people who serve in the military who l have much respect and admiration for. My heart goes out to people who help others, those that save lives. 💓🇺🇦 🌎🙏🌞🌹
Well I did say I would post a nice picture of this fella. It seems the bank vole population has been decimated (I wonder how?) and he seems a little fed up with himself.

There is nothing like the vastness of the alpine landscape to make one feel small and insignificant. The awe and wonder experienced as one of the tiny human specks in those wide, expansive spaces is something that I hope, for me, will never fade.
Here is Tofu hiding in a crammed corner of the garden which protected him from the cold wind we had today. He was probably wondering again why he had left the house in the first place. He should really know better by now. :)
I add another capture in the comments.
rachel carson wrote: “those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life.” whenever life feels complicated (often by my own making), whenever i’m weary and filled with doubt, i try to remember: get outside; feel the earth under my feet; let wonder fill my heart and mind.

These long evenings make for lots of shadows and low light. Many times I miss the sunset altogether because it just comes too early and leaves too fast! I have been shooting more often indoors and was trying to recreate a picture I took and posted here of one of my other boys. Efraim who is 5 now, was 3 in this picture below!!

I got some I really loved of both my 2 yo and of my 5 yo boys. Same corner, same wall different boys and different candles. I know portraits don't seem to be big on Flickr but it is just one of those I need to share. I know those who have followed my over the last few years will get a kick out of the candle picture. Maybe I'll post the next one of Efraim so you can see how much he's grown!!
The wonder never fades in children and I love how fascinated Elijah is with the candle he's holding!

“…the age of the canoe is not gone; it’s just different. the canoe is no longer a vehicle of trade and commerce. Instead, it has become a means of venturing back into what is left of the natural world. It’s true there isn’t much left to be discovered, but there is much to be rediscovered about the land, about the creatures who live there, and about ourselves." Bill Mason
We found this particular canoe in the shadows of tall pines along a hiking trail, where it appear to have come to the end of it's days with passersby like me, wondering where it has been.
I wonder if the sap is stirring yet,
If wintry birds are dreaming of a mate,
If frozen snowdrops feel as yet the sun
And crocus fires are kindling one by one:
Sing, robin, sing!
I still am sore in doubt concerning Spring.

Still continuing my color journey, again farther away than last time. I see that slowing down is even more important with Ektar, since tending to see things in B&W gives a latitude of what to ignore, if that makes any sense. But it's a great exercise to observe once again. Thanks to those flickeranians who continue to inspire!
