Mario set out this morning in search of the castle holding the Princess; obstacles were tackled; levels were cleared, secrets were uncovered and in the end, he was told that the Princess is in another castle, sorry...

"How many castles could there be?" Mario says to himself.

As the audience we lower and shake our heads, poor Mario, the castles are endless.

Hope everyone has had a good day! I'm celebrating because my work week is over! Four days off and no solid plans. I'm looking forward to it, but knowing me I'll be bored by the end of tomorrow and will be seeking something to do.

I spent ages going through photos today, and edited at least 7. However, (though not particularly over the moon with this) I went with this one, because I thought when else would I actually use a photo with a new years eve noise maker? Gah! So I don't know, maybe I'll post the others in the week or something. I suppose it took me so long to decide which to post because I'm not in a regular habit of taking self portraits, nor even posting on flickr anymore. So due to this sort of awkward feeling I had while going through images, deciding which to post... I thought "Hrrmmm, at least this photo project will get me back into the habit of relearning things, editing, and the like". Does that make sense? Well whatevs, here ya go. First week, of 52. I've been saying it for too long that "I'll be around more often".. and then I fall off for a couple of months, only to come back and post something random. Yet this project is going to be just that.. random. I currently don't have any themes thought up, but maybe some will pop up along the way. But hey, already for this week, I had the option of posting photos of our new kitty, and also various portraits of myself. So already, I'm picking up my camera more, and capturing life.

At the end of this.. I hope to have met more fellow photographers... I want to add to my portrait series... and well... I still have loads of learning to do with editing, and to be quite honest, I don't think I've learned much more since my last project. I could make all sorts of excuses (working, interning, graduate school, social/recreational life) but I'll try not to dwell on excuses to much! Womp.

This is the year of DOING many of my friends are saying.

Oh yeah... I doubt I'll be writing much like this in upcoming photos. I just felt the need to waffle a bit, as I haven't done so in ages on here.

So hello flickr. I'm back.

so i made a fort out of a bed sheet and two chairs in my backyard, i set up my camera and tripod, hit the self timer button and scurried into my fort. the self timer is beeping (you know how they beep...) and right before the shutter went off my fort decided to fall on me! oh well, it made for a nice candid picture. wompwomp.

hopefully this works.

i know yesterday was the first day of february, but i went on an outing and wanted to use the snapshots i captured yesterday instead of making this. so one day late but still, happy february! and meh! my bottom teeth have shifted so badly.. one word of advice, WEAR YOUR RETAINER! They're not joking when they say if you neglect it, your pretty smile will look ruined all over again. ): wompwomp.

so jeremy is my valentine. and each day he is giving me one clue for 14 days on where to meet him on valentine's day. how cute!

first clue- the number one.

second clue- a dress.

we'll see what the next clues will be! (: have a good day.
