Providence and Worcester road train WODA (Worcester, MA - Davisville, RI) makes a rare daylight appearance, and on a Saturday to boot, in Valley Falls yard on a beautiful spring morning. The train is seen getting ready to make a set out in the Valley Falls Yard for the Monday-Friday local, PR-3, before continuing on their way to Davisville where they'll interchange with the Seaview Railroad.

Providence and Worcester local PR-3 is seen on track 4, attempting to enter the interchange with the Seaview Railroad. Unfortunately, an overnight Amtrak work train left the switch for the tie yard lined and it snowed overnight. Luckily the eagle eyed crew noticed the flagless iron was lined against them and stopped just in time to rectify the situation.
The photo was taken from the cab of Seaview's SW-7. We heard them call us for permission into the yard and that they had to clean a switch first, so we headed that way to see if they needed help. But, Daryll and Jeff had it taken care of by the time we got out there.
There aren't many chances to catch P&W freight under the wires during the day, so I tried as often as I could to have my camera on the off chance WODA didn't make it and PR-3 had to bring the train during the day. Glad I did this day!
I had uploaded this once before, but took it down to re-work it.
