Latarnia znajduje się w centrum nabrzeża Harlingen.

Została zaprojektowana przez architekta C. Jelsma i zbudowana w latach 1920-1922. Najwyższy punkt to 24 metry nad średnią wysoką wodą. Wieża jest kwadratowa, zbudowana z kamienia i stali. Została uruchomiona w 1922 r., A światło zostało w końcu zgaszone w 1998 r. Latarnia morska Harlingen była częścią sieci dwudziestu świateł wzdłuż holenderskiego wybrzeża, z których osiemnaście pozostaje eksploatowanych. Kanały i wejście do portu przystosowane zostały do tego, aby latarnia morska nie była już potrzebna.

The Harlingen lighthouse is in the center of the Harlingen docks.The same site has been used for at least two earlier lighthouses. A square tower on a fortress was built around 1750 and demolished in 1872. A hexagonal red wooden tower with white bands was operated between 1904 and 1921.

The current lighthouse was designed by architect C. Jelsma and built between 1920 and 1922. The highest point is 24 metres (79 ft) above mean high water. The tower is square, built of stone and steel. It came into service in 1922, and the light was finally extinguished in 1998. Harlingen lighthouse was part of a network of twenty lights along the Dutch coast, eighteen of which remain operational. The channels and harbor mouth had been adjusted so that this lighthouse was no longer needed.

Between 1998 and 1999 the lighthouse was restored by architect B. Pietersma. The lighthouse is now privately owned. (wiki)

Evening by the water.

Providence and Worcester road train WODA (Worcester, MA - Davisville, RI) makes a rare daylight appearance, and on a Saturday to boot, in Valley Falls yard on a beautiful spring morning. The train is seen getting ready to make a set out in the Valley Falls Yard for the Monday-Friday local, PR-3, before continuing on their way to Davisville where they'll interchange with the Seaview Railroad.

Na doorkomst te Krojanty werd doorgereden naar het station van Czarna Woda. Vanwege de lange haltering van de TUR-trein in Rytel en de lage snelheid is de trein eenvoudig in te halen.

Zodoende zien we nogmaals de SU42-508 met R 55254 (Chojnice - Hel) net na 8 uur 's morgens passeren. Ditmaal werd de trein opgewacht bij de uitrijseinen van station Czarna Woda. Samen met de losweg van kasseien en het (inmiddels gemoderniseerde) seinhuis ademt het station nog de fraaie sfeer van de 'Ostbahn' uit.
