It plays the pipes of war.

As far as orc soldiers go, the drudges aren't exactly high-ranking. But they enjoy clubbing things, so it evens out in the end.

Although water elementals are nearly formless, this free-flowing creature can take a solid shape.

Is this really a "Salamander variant?" It's a Salamander, just holding a different kind of weapon. That would be like saying that a man with a monkey wrench is a subspecies of the man with a hammer.

Or maybe it is. Racism has gotten pretty boring these days.

Able to access the most powerful of drow magics.

Formed from the souls of commoners, Protectars form the rank-and-file armies of Heaven's celestial realms, though they are caregivers first and warriors second. Don't underestimate them, though!

The psionic energy which infuses gem dragons allows them to glitter.

Released elemental archons: Fire, ice, earth, air, water.

Unreleased: Lightning. And I think maybe mud or mercury or something, but I'm not sure.

Earth Archons almost seem to make sense with the armor, except that you have to think the thick rock is mor durable thban thin metal. But again, the armor is what gives it life and holds it together, and those stones actually change shape to an extent.

Fear is the desire not to be eaten. Hope is the belief that it will not happen.

Avatar of Hope & Phyrexian Plaguelord, 2 rare creature cards from Magic: The Gathering's 8th Edition

Originally summoned by Noah's son, Ham, Gaap incites love, makes women infertile, teaches philosophy, makes men invisible, steals familiars, kidnaps and transports people, and makes men stupid. He's pretty varied, there.

A being of life and death... who always chooses death.

"Her commands are soft as moonlight but must be obeyed."

Great idea, great concept art (she even got some cover art), great pose, great sculpt... bad paint. And actually, the paint would be fine except for that face, which kind of makes the whole thing look flat. But aside from THAT, the Lunar Handmaiden is a rather cool lady with an interesting design aesthetic - silvery, like moonlight. In-game, she can give free movement to your pieces.

Trolls can heal from almost anything. Some enterprising individuals use this as an opportunity to give them blades and armor plating.

An extraordinarily powerful queen of the Mariliths, she nonetheless is enraged that there are stronger demons in the Abyss.

Creatures covered with eyes. Shy, but trustworthy.

Her arrows often find their mark on opponents who are too busy trying to avoid her gaze to dodge.

Beautiful, gilded and wise, yet with fiery breath that can torch armies.

Are all of her weapons bent?

"Its scent is irresistible."

Cheap, with good stats for its cost, and the ability to pull enemies closer, the Succulent Creeper is very, very valuable. And awesome. Pretty. Cool to look at. Great colors.

Former Lord of the First and commander of the armies of Avernus, Bel is the greatest general of the Blood War, and one day intends to overthrow Zariel, his usurper.

These earth-element creatures hunger ravenously for precious metals and stones, and can swim through solid rock to get at them.

Immovable, unassailable guards.

Its extra visibility just gives people more time to panic.

"Where I lead, you follow."

Ah, victory! Triumph! We have conquered all!

This dude let you lead similarly-aligned allies during the spawn phase. I just think it's a rather pretty little knight, even with the intentionally-scant paint job.

One of the horrific children of Typhon and Echidna, the CHimera was a horrible combination of lioness, she-goat, and snake, with a fiery breath that could incinerate any who dared oppose it. It was eventually defeated by Bellerophon, who rode on Pegasus to get close enough to decapitate the creature.

"She knows death... and denies it."

Nobody dies, not with this gold-clad dancer around! She keeps your Dreamblade figures from dying - instead, they go back into your reserves, which means you can spawn them again... though it means they stop benefitting you the way figures in your graveyard do, she can still be quite useful. And kinda pretty.

"Victory and loss come and go on the wind."

It's a samurai kite! Ability #1 does massive damage. Ability #2 disrupts it, because... well hey, it just got blown away on the wind. That's hilarious, but not very useful.

The Quori are masters of the Dreaming Dark. Through possession and psychic nightmares, they seek a way into our realm.

Ancient spirits of evil, the Rakshasa leave ruined lives and fallen kingdoms in their wake.

Rank-and-file troops in the blood War, theyare still particularly lethal with their serpentine beards!
