Everyone seemed to love that awesome wizard cat I saw at Goodwill the other day (including myself). And they apparently go for over $100 online!
My ex commented on my original post, and I knew it’d make the perfect housewarming gift for her and her husband’s new place. So I braved the rain the next day and snagged it first thing in the morning.
It had some chipped areas which I touched up. Then I wiped it clean and he was as good as new. This thing is only 50 times better when you put a tea light behind him to illuminate his eyes and crystal ball.
The cauldron is actually an incense burner, which makes sense, since it will make the cauldron smoke...but I didn’t know that at the time of taking these photos. Either way, it looks so magical and cool!
Enjoy your new home, little kitty.

Hand-made Hawthorn wand with druid head detail on the hilt. Hand-crafted by Scorpius Prewett.
The wandmaker Gregorovitch wrote that hawthorn ‘makes a strange, contradictory wand, as full of paradoxes as the tree that gave it birth, whose leaves and blossoms heal, and yet whose cut branches smell of death.’ While I disagree with many of Gregorovitch’s conclusions, we concur about hawthorn wands, which are complex and intriguing in their natures, just like the owners who best suit them. Hawthorn wands may be particularly suited to healing magic, but they are also adept at curses, and I have generally observed that the hawthorn wand seems most at home with a conflicted nature, or with a witch or wizard passing through a period of turmoil. Hawthorn is not easy to master, however, and I would only ever consider placing a hawthorn wand in the hands of a witch or wizard of proven talent, or the consequences might be dangerous. Hawthorn wands have a notable peculiarity: their spells can, when badly handled, backfire.

I've been trying to take a photo of my wizard friend for some time. However, he hates having his photo taken and every time I get my camera near him, he disappears in a flash of light! Well, today I managed to sneak up on him and was quick enough to get a snap just as he was vanishing.
(Yes, I'm in a silly mood today!!)
