The "Telefono senza fili" is a board game infant known in much of the world.
They should stand in line. One player starts the game by whispering a word or phrase in the ear of his neighbor. These must repeat the same phrase to the next player, and so on until the last of the row, which repeats the phrase aloud. The fun comes from the fact that the sentence on the last player is often very different from the starting, due to the combined additions of errors and subsequent interpretation.
From a pedagogical point of view, is appreciated as a tool to develop the ability to listen to children, but also as a tool to raise children's awareness of the consequences of the error in the cumulative distribution of information.

I partecipanti devono disporsi in fila. Uno dei giocatori inizia il gioco bisbigliando una parola o una frase all'orecchio del suo vicino. update june 2008 - per the pew internet The Internet and Consumer Choice report - i can't believe that only 12% of cell phones are procured online. seems like it should be a lot more than that. 78% in-store and ~10% by other means.

let the address-book transfers begin! since i have them resurrected to enter numbers into the new phone, here are all of the cell phones i've ever owned. they all still work, albeit the buttons on the nokia 3560 in the middle have stopped working reliably. the sony-ericsson w810i (right) is a linux-friendly phone, 2-megapixel camera, and mp3 player all in one. with a 4gb pro duo memory stick, i can go jogging without my minidisc player :-), and even bring home a few photos every now and then! rachel opted for a pink razr phone.

i skimmed an article on resveratrol (the one from time magazine that was dugg last week) and mentioned an interest in drinking red wine to rachel. she came home from the grocery store tonight with six different bottles of red wine to try, and she's calling her wine-expert parents for additional advice. we don't drink much alcohol at all. i'm typing this with very dizzy fingers.

My entry for day 266 of the 2009photochallenge; the theme for the day was ANNOYING. I guess everyone thinks her own phone is annoying. Let me tell you why mine has an extra layer of annoyance. It shares spectrum with my wireless internet, so that whenever anyone hangs up a phone somewhere in the house, every internet connection in the house is dropped. Now that's annoying.
(I guess some people are also annoyed by pictures with the focal object on one side and facing outside the frame on the same side. You say blatant compositional flaw, I say deliberate continuity with the day's theme; let's call the whole thing off....)
