here is my NEW setup at home... well not new... i Picked up that G4 Tower from some guy here in town for 350 bux... it was a pretty good deal cause i wanted a quiet server machine, and the quicksilver edition g4 looks pretty swank ta boot.

I now have a 160 gb drive, and an 80 gb drive in it... and i switched out the ram too... its got 1.25g ram, 733 G4 chip.

I Dont even have a monitor hooked up to it now, casue i am using a remote admin program to run it... so far it runs like a champ... and purrs like a kitten. :)

My desktop is now wireless. And it only took five minutes to set up.

(I bought an AirPort Express a couple of months ago so I could wirelessly (is that a word?) print from a laptop in the living room to the printer in the office. When I plugged in the AirPort Express, I used the ethernet cable that had been plugged in to my computer. Rather than just buy another cord for the desktop, I went the gadget route and got a wireless USB adapter. It works great so far!)

The great thing about having a netbook is that I don’t have to waste my time watching adverts on the tele. Switch it on and within a minute I can be checking up on Pete’s latest picture for his Project 365.

I’ve even got this laptop table thingy from IKEA so that I don’t have to break my back leaning forward to the coffee table and a wireless mouse so I don’t have to struggle with the tiny touchpad.

Of course it isn’t just Pete’s photos that I use the netbook for; whenever Pam asks me a question like, what does this word mean in English or, who was the singer in that group, I can provide her with the answer almost instantly.
