Judah posing for me to do a test run with the wireless SB-600 set up. Of course both of her pictures are really well-exposed and what not--because I was using the 50mm. But Ruger is as jittery as you can get and won't stay in one spot, so I had to put on the 18-70mm ... basically I hate that lens when I'm using it inside. All of his pictures are pretty dim because of the damned f/3.5-4.5...
The only thing I changed on this was just a bit of tweaking to get rid of a brownish corner ... otherwise the background was really that blown out. Sweet!

Omni-directional pole aerial for 2.4GHz wireless networking. Supplied by solwise.co.uk. We've bought this kit to enable us to set up a wireless network to send streaming video between two laptops up to 1.5Km apart during a geology field trip in Scotland later this year. This is an omni (all directions) aerial which radiates equally in all directions. One of these will be positioned on the van with one laptop, and another on a tripod about half way between the laptops, to both act as a repeater and get over possible line-of-sight problems.

on a whim i decided to experiment with "product photography" not sure what else to call it. i've seen the fancy white box with translucent sides that you can buy to do this sort of thing professionally. i did this using the back of a poster, a roll of vellum, and my sb600 flash fired manually. it's not the best but it's my first attempt.
