Climbing about 11,500 feet at 360 knots on the way from Dublin to Frankfurt on LH 979, A340 style.
Lufthansa have started using an Airbus A340-300 on their Frankfurt-Dublin route for summer 2019.
Flight LH 978/979 on Wednesdays only until Sept/ October will be upgraded from the regular A320/1 to the massive A340, a real treat at Dublin not used to regular A340 movements, certainly not passenger services.
Seen on the inaugural flight back from Dublin to Frankfurt, LH 979 on 3rd July 2019, D-AIGS doing the honors.

Way back in January 1987, the BAe 146 was selected as the launch jet aircraft for London City Airport (LCY).
Due to its short-field capabilities and quietness, it was the perfect choice. It was at the time the only conventional jet aircraft that could use London City Airport.
Cityjet continued to the last operator of this type into LCY until the onset of Covid-19 in early 2020 when the fleet was prematurely retired.
British Airways CityFlyer G-LCYN, the "700th" Embraer ERJ type delivered & proudly displayed on the side.
Seen at London City Airport, the home of the CityFlyer fleet of Embraer's, ideal for the short runway & steep landing/ take offs required.
As well as the convenience of London City Airport with quicker access to London itself, the airport provides amazing views for departing passengers, you can almost touch the wings from the gates, plus all boarding is done by walkway, there are no airbridges.

On Sunday 5th March, British Airways operated a very unique flight on the London/Dublin route using their long haul Boeing 777-300ER.
Boeing 777-336ER, G-STBG, built in 2013, operated the 1 hour flight, always served by their short haul A319/320/321 fleet.
G-STBG has 8 first class, 76 business, 40 premium economy & 130 economy seats, featuring the new Club world lie flat suites in business, in a 1-2-1 configuration featuring sliding doors, rolled out between 2019 and 2022.

In late January, British Airways widebody runs to FRA,BER and DUB were offered in their booking engine due to a cargo contract with IAG Cargo requiring additional belly hold capacity.
Originally 31 short-haul widebody flights to Frankfurt, Berlin & Dublin, typically served by the Airbus A320 family between February and April switched to 777 operations.
Sadly however from an enthusiast point of view, most of the flights were downgraded back to Airbus A321 equipment before the actual flights commenced due to the loss of the cargo contract.
The Dublin flight of the 5th continued, moreso because of the heavy bookings on both legs, however the flight of the 7th reverted to an A321.

So I had a half day at work today. Things are pretty slow since we don't have any Reverse Transcriptase so I can't run my PCR. So basically spending the afternoon editing portraits and watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians. I ordered an external flash two days ago so soon I'll finally be able to start experimenting with unnatural lighting haha.
Training Update: I ran 5.5 miles yesterday evening in an hour. It's my longest run yet! It's funny, I'm only .7 miles away from 10K distance. If I stop being lazy I plan to run 3 miles today.

I really need to work on more creative titles for my photos. As the title implies, I'm revisiting an old technique I've used in the past. I loved the effect it gave and thought it would help me out of my creative slump I've been stuck in.
I just can't get enough of all this new camera gear.

The tank top I'm wearing is from Slope Day at Cornell--Neon Trees (and Taio Cruz and the Wailers) all played a free show for undergrad students (hence the neon tree on the shirt, clever right?). It's a tradition that different friend groups/sororities/fraternities design their own shirts or tank tops and wear them together on Slope Day.
I started the Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred video challenge. Basically there are three 30 minute workout videos, level 1,2, and 3, and you do each level for 10 days in a row. By the end you're supposed to shed a lot of fat and build muscle. The only problem is I'm only on day 3 and I'm already incredibly sore xD I can barely sit--but I know I have to keep going or else I'll regret it! Never give up! Do you guys do any work-out videos, or do you just pound it out at the gym? Just curious!
