In wine, there's truth, wine makes all things possible, wine is bottled poetry. A wine glass without wine never looks as beautiful as when there is wine in it and...the glass of wine I've drunk is beginning to take a few corners off the world...
Note: The wine shown in this picture is actually a terrible wine that I would never personally drink...thus the reason I was willing to sacrifice it for a photo lol. As soon as I got the shot I wanted, it went down the drain :)

This didn't quite turn out quite as I'd hoped.
This old bottle of wine came with my hotel room in London back in 1998. I don't drink so I kept it as a souvenir. LOL
Met up with some friends for dinner at Spill the Wine on Friday night. We all had a great time even though I messed up and got the actual location wrong at first.
Spoiling myself in a posh hotel lounge. Smoked salmon sandwiches, should have ordered a chilled glass of white wine, making do with coffee. xx
**This is a photo of the winery that my parents, wife and myself went for lunch. It is absolutely beautiful!!!**

This was by far one of the most beautiful afternoons that I have experienced. It made it all that much better being with loved ones :-)

(Sorry to all who Fav'd this previously, put it back in PS as there were some niggling bits)
This is my first attempt at using a slave flash, so I would be very grateful for any advice you may have.
I bought a cheap £10 Neewer slave flash on amazon, placed it to the front/left side of the glass pointing at a white sheet of card in the background, set the on camera flash to 1/32 and diffused it with an opaque plastic cap as to have enough just to trigger the slave. Vignette added and flash reflections removed in Photoshop CS5.
Testing out how to photograph glass bottles. Not the prettiest bottle I could find but sufficient for testing. Unfortunately I did not have a solid background and had to use the wallpaper. That took a long time to correct in post later. Also, a bigger room would be much better. There was simply too much spill light from the softbox all around and especially on the background
