Windsor coach park again today (02/08/2025) and I started the day bagging the Duck Tour DUKW departing it depot for the day. Coach wise there was a French Neoplan Cityliner, an ageing Volvo B10M auto / Plaxton Panther, a 25-plate Dhillon Yutong, a couple of Welsh coaches and a rather nice deep blue Yutong TC12 with a chirpy driver very happy in his job. Around 90 coaches today.

The original castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror. Since the time of Henry I it has been used by succeeding monarchs and it is the longest-occupied palace in Europe. The castle's lavish, early 19th-century State Apartments have been described as the finest and most complete expression of later Georgian taste. The castle includes the 15th-century St George's Chapel, considered to be one of the supreme achievements of English Perpendicular Gothic design. The Curfew Tower and the west end of St George's Chapel are the most prominent features in this shot.

Three Mile walk or known as The Long Walk outside Windsor Castle in Winsor Great Park and people looking something like a Lowry painting. There is a monument in the far distance called The Copper Horse on Snow Hill. The Long Walk was commenced by Charles II from 1680-1685 by planting a double avenue of elm trees. The central carriage road was added by Queen Anne in 1710. The original planting comprised 1,652 trees placed 30 feet apart in each direction. The width between the two inner rows was 150 feet, and overall 210 feet. It is a little less long than the three miles of popular rumour being around 2.65 miles (2 2/3rds miles or 4.26 km) from George IV Gateway at Windsor Castle to The Copper Horse.

Windsor Great Park (locally referred to simply as the Great Park) is a large deer park of 5,000 acres (20 km2), to the south of the town of Windsor on the border of Berkshire and Surrey in England. The park was, for many centuries, the private hunting ground of Windsor Castle and dates primarily from the mid-13th century.

Seen on Thames Street, outside Windsor Castle, is one of Slough's older Mercedes Citaros while operating an 8 towards Heathrow Airport Terminal 5. The Citaros have decreased in numbers recently, following an initial decrease in 2018 when several were transferred to First Midlands (Midland Red West/Wyvern)'s Worcester depot.

First Berkshire & The Thames Valley's LK03 LNF (64019) is seen on Thames Street, Windsor, while operating an 8 towards Heathrow Airport. LK03LNF was new in March 2003 to First Beeline Buses, as their EC2019 for use on services between Slough and BAA Heathrow (silver). These services were later rebranded as the 7 Series (blue). EC 2019 has also worn a yellow and orange version of the Urban 2 livery and branding for "Beeline," as well as the standards Urban 2 before being branded for use on the Fast 9 and 8 (as above). It is a Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530.
