きらきら春ですなあ。

Still in Northern Cali, on my way to Santa Cruz.

View from our hotel window in Seoul. It's an enormous city. The hills at the back right of the photo are essentially in the center of the city, nowhere near the edges.

  

i liked these clouds........

but the blue sky vanished in about 15 minutes..

and more snow...

this is an oils i did about 6yrs ago

using the Bob Ross method of painting on a black back ground with gesso and with a liquid clear undertone most of it is done with a pallet knife ,the basic idea was to try and get distance with the picture ,,watching the great man Mr Ross (who made it look so easy ) then trying to do it are two different things ,

Bob his wife and son where very talented artists ,and appeared daily on cable TV demonstrating ,i never even got close ,but was reasonably happy with this effort,,

Our second night in Grand Canyon we had a cabin right on the south rim. This was the view we woke up to after a long day of hiking in and back out of the massive canyon.

This is my very first entry for October to the Wheel of the Year project.

 

Autumn is definitely setting in - the light is much lower and the shadows much longer now.

Morning light on the trees. Wet on the grass. It will be a scorcher today.

This is my very first entry for November to the Wheel of the Year project.

 

Clocks have gone back. There's a chill in the air. Definitely feels very autumnal now.
